As a result, I got 34, which is precisely half my age. Oddly enough, I tell people that in my head I am in my mid-30s: gives me a horrible shock when I look in the mirror.

I would just say I don't do them. No need to rant about do's and dont's. For the birthday one I put watch TV. Too old to party and having people round to dinner is out because my flat cannot fit many people in. I would have thought those two answers would have put me nearer my actual age as a boring old fart.
