Stevosevic Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Don't like to be negative, but it is going to be highly embarrassing next year when it becomes evident to the rest of the country on MOTD that we are doing this. Yes, Manchester City copied it from the Polish team, but at least nobody in the UK was doing it. Surprised its lasted this long, but at least in the Championship we don't have the media coverage that allows everyone to know it is being done at the KP. The Poznan along with the "we love you" chant in the Premiership is going to make us look very small time and quite frankly a bit of a joke.
Tom17LCFC Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 I don't mind 'we love you' to be fair but I agree regarding the poznan, I absolutely hate it.
Bert Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Maybe the Poznan. But not we love you. One of the few chants that gets the whole ground bar the prawn sandwich stand involved. Personally don't see why people are bothered about what other teams will think about us.

Libertine Dream Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 The Poznan should never have happened. Even worse because it's the same routine every time we score at home, always exactly the same
Jimmy Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Why do you care what someone thinks of us? Do you decide everything you do based on what a bunch of people you don't know will think?
ScouseFox Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 i assumed the "poznan" would've stopped by now. in all fairness it's only like 3/4s of L that do it. do we still do it away? surely not. we love you is a bit cliche but it does get everyone involved and can be one of our louder efforts at home, whether you like it or not that is a good thing.
Stevosevic Posted 15 March 2014 Author Posted 15 March 2014 Why do you care what someone thinks of us? Do you decide everything you do based on what a bunch of people you don't know will think? No, but it would be nice to be considered a respectable football club from a support perspective. Copying the Poznan from Man City screams League One.
Littletoe Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Right, so everywhere else is allowed to adopt our culture of football.... But we are not allowed to maybe learn a thing or two elsewhere? If the fans at the stadium are having fun doing it, then let them be. Its not hurting anybody, you're just being paranoid.
Jimmy Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 And what would this "respect" you so crave get us? Will it ensure we stay up? Go and supports our team and stop giving a **** what others think of how you or any other city fan does it. I don't even notice the Poznan anymore as it happens
65RosesFox Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Why do you care what someone thinks of us? Do you decide everything you do based on what a bunch of people you don't know will think? I'm not bothered what other people think of us. But when a large number of our own fans think it's embarassing and cringe worthy maybe we should start listening....And clearly the majority of our fans do care what other fans think of us hence the reason for the always popular 'do they mean us' thread.
MattGamble92 Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 I think our goal celebrations look far better than any I have seen on my away days. Some clubs like the scum up the road still have Chelsea Dagger! You are basically saying scrap the only two occasions there are atmosphere in our ground. Yeah I'm sure that will look even better on MOTD
Stevosevic Posted 15 March 2014 Author Posted 15 March 2014 And what would this "respect" you so crave get us? Will it ensure we stay up? Go and supports our team and stop giving a **** what others think of how you or any other city fan does it. I don't even notice the Poznan anymore as it happens Every football fan in the country comments on the other teams fans after a game, we all do it. No, it won't help us stay up, but there is more to a club than what happens on the pitch. We only had one season in league one, it seems that was enough for some people in our fan base to adopt that mentality.
Jimmy Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 I'm not bothered what other people think of us. But when a large number of our own fans think it's embarassing and cringe worthy maybe we should start listening.... and you know that a large number believe this how exactly? Apart from the NIMBY old skoolers or "too cool" student lot most people seem to love it, "a large section" don't want a drum its claimed, yet its shit without it
Stevosevic Posted 15 March 2014 Author Posted 15 March 2014 F**k it, let's all sit down at away games as well and bring back Chelsea Dagger.
Jimmy Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Every football fan in the country comments on the other teams fans after a game, we all do it. No, it won't help us stay up, but there is more to a club than what happens on the pitch. We only had one season in league one, it seems that was enough for some people in our fan base to adopt that mentality. again why does that matter to you? are you that pathetic that the opinion of a bunch of keyboard warriors on a random clubs forum of what our fans do to support our team is critical to you being able to be a football fan? grow the **** up. there are things our fans do that I don't like so I don't do them, if you don't like the poznan don't d it, stop being such a sheep
Tom17LCFC Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 and you know that a large number believe this how exactly? Apart from the NIMBY old skoolers or "too cool" student lot most people seem to love it, "a large section" don't want a drum its claimed, yet its shit without it To be fair mate I looked around the stadium today and it was only part of the family stand and L1-J3 joining in, which suggests most people don't seem to 'love it'.
Jimmy Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 To be fair mate I looked around the stadium today and it was only part of the family stand and L1-J3 joining in, which suggests most people don't seem to 'love it'. those are the sections that have always done it, the Kop never has, nor has the west stand, doesn't mean they don't like it its just not done there, it needs to be done en masse so unless everyone (in a section) is going to do it it just looks odd, many of those people in the kop would join in at away games for example

If everyone joined in it'd look a lot better which in some eyes could make it more accetable, but because it's only certain sections joining in it looks absolutely terrible IMO.

TBH I don't know if its still done away I haven't been able to afford an away game in a long time
Bert Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 F**k it, let's all sit down at away games as well and bring back Chelsea Dagger. No one is saying that though are they.... You've asked a question and people have responded in a different of opinion to you.
Tom17LCFC Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 and you're entitled to it, but saying we should stop it just because the fans of other clubs will laugh is pathetic. TBH I don't know if its still done away I haven't been able to afford an away game in a long time Fair enough, for the record I don't wanna stop it because of what other fans think, I just personally think it looks shit haha each to their own and all that!
Charl91 Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 Who honestly cares what other clubs/teams think? Celebrate however you like.
