Guest ttfn Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 HE SCORES WHEN HE WANTS HE SCORES WHEN HE WANTS KASPER SCHMEICHEL HE SCORES WHEN HE WANTS
Jace Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Find it hard to believe it is out of his hands he is out of contract and the club are not going to not offer him another so it'll be completely in his hands what he does next?
Scoobyrob Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I think he will stay. He'll probably be offered more money elsewhere but the guarantee of first team premier league football with Leicester I'm sure would be the natural next step in his career. He has undoubtedly improved since he came to Leicester and his and Leicester's future just seem to be progressing perfectly together. Fingers crossed anyway.
The Doctor Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Find it hard to believe it is out of his hands he is out of contract and the club are not going to not offer him another so it'll be completely in his hands what he does next? Ey? It's fairly clear why it's out of his hands - because he doesn't decide if the club offers him a new contract.
Jace Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Ey? It's fairly clear why it's out of his hands - because he doesn't decide if the club offers him a new contract. Why would they not offer him a new contract? He's worth nothing out of contract to the club as soon as he signs another contract he would be at least worth another £2 million
johnny the fox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 we need a goal scorer from corners in the premier.. sign him up!
Sharpe's Fox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Strange to think as it stands Nigel isn't a Premier League manager and Kasper isn't a Premier League player.
The Doctor Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Why would they not offer him a new contract? He's worth nothing out of contract to the club as soon as he signs another contract he would be at least worth another £2 million Well they wouldn't, but you entirely miss the point - while they would offer him a new contract, it's not his job to offer him a contract - getting the offer of a new contract is out of his hands.
Jace Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Strange to think as it stands Nigel isn't a Premier League manager and Kasper isn't a Premier League player. Nige is in the same position isn't he he's not signed a new contract yet?

But once he's offered a new contract it will be very much in his hands so the reality of the situation is he will be able to decide his future and where he goes
The Doctor Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 But once he's offered a new contract it will be very much in his hands so the reality of the situation is he will be able to decide his future and where he goes You really aren't getting it are you? I'll bullet point it: Schmeichel wants to stay However he is out of contract He isn't involved in deciding who gets new contracts Getting a new contract is not up to him. Whether he stays or goes is not in his hands, it's in the clubs since they decide whether to keep him. That they would almost certainly offer a new contract doesn't change that...

How did you become a doctor?
Scoobyrob Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Nigel mentioned about sticking to plan A. I got the impression plan B comes into action when promotion is secured. I wonder if a lot of the contracts including his own only need signing. I'm sure all the right deals will be finalised for the club and the players and before too long.
The Doctor Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 How did you become a doctor? How much have you had to drink?
kingfox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Best goalkeeper we have had since Tim Flowers in my opinion. He has won us a lot of points over the past couple of season's with some very valuable saves. Last night is a prime example of that, his save in the final minute is one of the reason's we are celebrating promotion tonight. I really hope he stays, I'd be absolutely gutted if he leaves.
Jace Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 How much have you had to drink? Nothing it's you who has appeared to have dismissed the point of my original post that although he will be out of contract he will be offered another yet despite this going over your head you think you are being smart arse
Bert Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 He will get offered a new contract and I would be disappointed if we didn't do enough to sign him or he decides to sign for another team in the prem unless they're playing in Europe. Kasper has hinted he'd like to stay and that he's happy here. Pearson has said he wants to keep the squad together. Money won't be an issue.

Being able to read and knowing what a goalkeepers role at the club is is not being a smart-arse. It's out of his hands as to whether he gets offered a new contract. Now learn what you're talking about and pipe down.

It's out of his hands as to whether he gets offered a new contract. Now learn what you're talking about and pipe down. Ahh, pipe down. The so-called "diplomat's gambit". Peace in our time.

My point was they are not going to not offer him a new contract are they? why is it so difficult for you to understand it really is quite simple?
Happy Fox Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 I hope he stays because he will thrive in the prem, if he decides to go to be a benchwarmer at Manchester United then he has lost my respect because surely playing games is the key to improving and he that ethos imo, so it shouldn't be an issue he will be staying!
