Guest Posted 18 August 2005 Posted 18 August 2005 I have said many times, of the people that i have spoken to, most agree that the music should be louder. Obviously your brain is so small it can't absorb extra information like that. So yes, i have clarified my point loads of times. 158354 Actually, you closed the stable doors after the horse had bolted. If you get the gist.
BenFilbert Posted 18 August 2005 Posted 18 August 2005 Hi Lisa. Let's not continue this silly thing. Shall we finish here? We're both being silly and so is Hullfox. Let's call the end here. You can have another go at me if you want but i think we should stop acting stupid.
Fox in a Box Posted 18 August 2005 Posted 18 August 2005 Why is bits of your stupid comment in capitals?! Why do that?! I can read it all. I didn't say i wanted it so loud that people couldn't talk! I said that it needs to be louder. I also sit in the kop and what's this stupid comment about you being a season ticket holder for over 15 years all about?! I don't care if your first match was against Ipswich or if you saw us play as Leicester Fosse. It doesn't make any difference! I have been going to the matches for about 7 years now, if you must know. Do you really think that without music people will sing before the match?! I get into the ground at 2:15 and hardly anybody gets in until 2:45. I have heard louder music at other grounds. What's the point of saying we have the loudest PA system when we obviously don't use it. 3 years ago the music was a lot louder. I think that with music leading up to when the players come out creates an atmosphere. People don't sing until the match kicks off. The atmosphere would be pathetic without music. 156937 Ben I can write how I please, I also can attend games and not have to listen to very loud misic. You sound as if you have a chip on your shoulder by some of your immature comments and by the way you should respect your elders...........

Craig Posted 18 August 2005 Posted 18 August 2005 How do you know that 30,000 people haven't heard the pre match music? Are you a close personal friend to everyone in the ground? No, i don't think so. Just because 30,000 people haven't been to any one game this season doesn't mean that 30,000 different people altogether haven't been to a game this season. Nice try though, inspector. Maybe next time. 158034 15,000 season ticket holders. First game there was 5,000 more than the core season ticket holders. Second game there was 7,000 more. So if you were to assume that none of those 7,000 had been to the first game, you add those 7k to the 20,000 that were at the first. That equals 27,000 fans having experienced our pre match music, then minus 3,000 away fans combined from both games. Thats around a maximum 24,000 Leicester fans that could have experienced the music so far this season. I'm sure it's far less. There you go, inspector.

Nothing against you, i just can't really be bothered.

Micky Ruddle Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Me and Ashley have been discusing pre match music and entertainment and we find it poor. May need to make a new thread or something, but the music on Saturday's doesn't exactly give it a football feeling to it. We talk about the atmosphere being poor, so maybe we need to change it, because it's the same old, same old. Anyone got any decent ideas to put forward? Shall i start a new thread or carry on with this?
Unabomber Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 I don't really think there is alot the club can do other than stop all music when the players go back inside after their warmup, and let the atmosphere build through the fans. However due to the majority of the fans being so poor I can't see much of an atmosphere at all. That's why it's good to go to away games
Simi Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 If it's atmosphere you want cut all music 15 minutes before kick-off. Sadly, this ruins the matchday experience for some people, apparently.
crisp monster Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 did we REALLY have 'Rule The World' by Take That just before we took the field for the 2nd half on Saturday? what fantastic uplifting music for the players to return to battle to whats next? lighthouse family?
Kilworthfox Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 How about no music then when the players come out the Original PHG? Traditions can not be bought people
lcfc_jme Posted 2 April 2008 Posted 2 April 2008 I don't really think there is alot the club can do other than stop all music when the players go back inside after their warmup, and let the atmosphere build through the fans. Here's an idea - 'none'. If it's atmosphere you want cut all music 15 minutes before kick-off. How about no music then when the players come out the Original PHG? Traditions can not be bought people Never. Going. To. Happen. As I understand it, because of the marketing procedure and the way the pre-match 'entertainment' is organised (yes, that's right, it has a deliberate structure to it), the music is going to continue blaring out until kick-off. It optimises the experience of the majority of our match-going fans (apparently) and it helps to whip up an atmosphere and get the fans up for it. Even though cutting the music off as little as 10 minutes before kickoff I'm sure has been requested at some stage. And sort of agreed to be trialled at some stage. True story. Ched will vouch for me on this one (he already kind of has in his full post).
Magictv Posted 2 April 2008 Posted 2 April 2008 When was the last time we had no music and then just the PHG as the players come out? I can't really remember, anyway, that would be my preference.
clazkel Posted 2 April 2008 Posted 2 April 2008 It used to be great at Filbert Street when they used to play the Monkees and daydream believer before the game, especially loved it after Mark McGhee left. It would be good to have a song that got the fans going as that song used to create a great atmosphere before the games at Filbert Street.

Depends what you mean by atmosphere. If you mean noise, then turning up the music will "create an atmosphere". If you mean songs generated by the crowd, then it has the opposite effect. No-one sings before kick-off because the groups that initiate the songs are dispersed around and can't make themselves heard over the din. The atmosphere IS pathetic WITH the music. I'd vote for "None" if I could.
Asha Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 Pigbag - Sandstorm - Insomnia (as players come out) - Chelsea Dagger (goal tune).
Joe. Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 Pigbag - Sandstorm - Insomnia (as players come out) - Chelsea Dagger. Not pigbag- that just gives our brain-dead fans an excuse to chant Matty Fryatt's name.

The People's Hero Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 Where is the option to move the kop to the other end and sign Jason Koumas permanently temporarily on loan on a rolling contact?
Ashley Posted 4 April 2008 Posted 4 April 2008 I think the prematch music should be something like this. clap clap clap clap LEICESTER Either just before the players come out or just have the teams are being annouced just has the teams are about to kick off When the teams are coming out for the second half. Like at filbert street?
