dmayne7 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 The flip side to that is that they spent 35 years in the top flight... Not so bad
-blue- Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Personally Im sorry about Coventry's current position. I wish the club was extinct.
Houchen Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Kin hell lads...you've just won promotion to the Premier League.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 that hasn't finished in the top 6 of any division since the 1969-70 season? Just think about that tonight http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/league_history/coventry_city/index.shtml I give full credit to those supporters. They obviously love their team. What's wrong with that?
Houchen Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Not won a promotion in almost half a century. Sad, cos I remember the team they had in 66/67, wasn't half bad! Rivals yes, but I hope they can get rid of SISU and get back to being a football club again! Not bad at all! Hudson, Curtis, Machin.
Aus Fox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Can you imagine supporting a team that plays in Coventry??? Neither can Cov fans
fox123 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 To be fair I don't like seeing Coventry in their current position and to be honest, I wouldn't want to see Forest or Derby in their position either. Why? Because they're rivals, teams we want to get one over on when we play them in the league, teams we've created songs against because of the rivalry. Can't see the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd or Liverpool becoming fierce rivals, so for rivalry/banter sakes, I hope Coventry get their shit sorted and start moving up through the leagues.
Vacamion Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 The unfortunate fate which befell Coventry City could really easily have been us - can you all not remember our financial troubles? They weren't so long ago. I know that a few Cov morons laughed at us when we were in trouble, but I think it lacks class for a few of us, having been promoted, to point and laugh at Coventry City. I hope they sort themselves out.

ramaiya2 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 This is a really bad situation for not only Coventry but football in general. Leicester were in a similar situation not so long ago. We got relegated for the first time in our history. We also went into administration, who stuck by us during that time? It was the fans Yes Coventry are our rivals but do the fans deserve what they got? Coventry need to play in Coventry and the people that have got them in this situation (playing in Northampton) need to leave. This can happen to any club. Look at Liverpool a few seasons ago, Leeds, Forest, Portsmouth and now Coventry. Which club is next? I would like to see Coventry back in the premiership. The M69 derby needs to be shown on Super Sunday

MC Prussian Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Can you imagine supporting a team that won promotion to the Premier League and that just lost 4-1 at home to Brighton?
lgfualol Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Can you imagine supporting a team that won promotion to the Premier League and that just lost 4-1 at home to Brighton? Don't be ridiculous, that would never happen.
