I've heard we are getting him permanently, and fingers crossed we do because he is sheer quality. Another stupid mistake by United. De Laet, Drinkwater, James, Lawrence and Powell!!!

If United had kept them they would be a better side than they are now. De Laet would slot quite nicely into that right wing back position for them, Drinkwater and James would have provided stiff competition for the central midfield roles, Lawrence would have been a good enough to challenge for a starting spot in a year or two and Powell would have challenged for any position from midfield to attack. They are daft.

His loss if so. If he doesn't come here then he'll either mooch around until January playing reserve team football or go back down to the Championship again. I'm not sure we need him but he'd be a good option as our only natural attacking midfielder (I don't believe Knockaert can play there.)

I'd say the fact that we've not heard anything yet suggests that it's more likely that the deal (along with Lawrence) will go through. Man Utd will desperately be trying to get the Falcao deal through, so these deals may not be a priority for them right now.
