Dance4Life Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Probably just speculation but I do like the sound of Powell @ Leicester and I hope this turns out true.. http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/leicester-city-interested-in-manchester-united-midfielder-nick-powell/
Alex_LCFC Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Same website that says kasper has signed a 4 year deal at Southampton ?
Lambert09 Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Personally wouldnt want him, the wigan fans I know dont think he's that good
Maybes Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Think our current options are of similar ability, maybe even better.
Eddie Big Balls Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Nick Powell could be allowed to join Leicester CityLeicester City boss Nigel Pearson is keen on signing Manchester United's Nick Powell during the summer transfer window. The Daily Express believe the recently-promoted Leicester City have placed Powell on their summer transfer wish-list as they look to bring in several reinforcements for their first year back in the Premier League. Powell could be allowed to leave Old Trafford either on a temporary or permanent basis during the upcoming summer transfer window. The former Crewe midfielder, who moved to Old Trafford in 2012 for a fee that could rise to £6.5million, has failed to establish himself as a member of Manchester United's squad. The 20-year-old had to make do with playing for Manchester United's reserve side before sealing a loan move to Wigan Athletic at the start of September. Powell scored seven goals in 31 league games for Wigan Athletic during his time at the DW Stadium - but it remains to be seen if the England Under-21 starlet can make the step up. Leicester City would provide Powell with the perfect platform to express himself in the top-flight of English football before returning to Manchester United if the East Midlands outfit can only land the youngster on a temporary deal.
LESTA-JESTER Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Good player decent shot, good passer, creative could see him fitting in well with our style of football and he's only 20.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 To be fair, I know for a fact that they watched him for ages when he was at Crewe but as soon as teams like United came calling, we never stood a chance
Eddie Big Balls Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Sorry, only just realised you guys have a separate forum for this stuff. Can I/should I delete this thread?

Babylon Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 The few times he got game time for united he really stood out to me. Would happily take him.
Strokes Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 Pearson has a good record with ex man utd players, so id be happy to take him.
Jay89LCFC Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 The only time I've really this season is when we played Wigan at home and he came on and was by far their best player. Previously I've seen him a few times for United and Crewe and has always looked creative and has a good shot on him too, I think he would be a good addition to the squad.
Fox92 Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 I know someone at Uni who is really good mates with Powell. Apparently last season he had a lot of interest in him from Championship clubs but United kept him for a year before letting him go to Wigan. I can see the same again this year, he is a talented lad and with our United connections I could imagine he's someone we could look at.
Claridge Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 Daily mail Newly promoted Leicester City are lining up a bid to sign Manchester United's attacking midfielder Nick Powell, 20, as they prepare for life in the Premier League
MC Prussian Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 he's a drunk Arrested once for being intoxicated whilst driving. Stupid thing to do, but by no means descriptive of his overall persona. With him being mates with Drinkwater and James and guided by Pearson, he could be a great asset and complete our central midfield.

RowlattsFox Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 he's a drunk So was Vardy so I'm told. Finally knuckled down last summer and we've all seen the benefits. Powell as the ability.

Are you assuming he's mates with Drinky and James because he's from United? Even though Drinky and James were both here before Powell even signed for United?
MC Prussian Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 Are you assuming he's mates with Drinky and James because he's from United? Even though Drinky and James were both here before Powell even signed for United? You're right, my bad. Sill, having gone through the trials and tribulations at Manchester United (like James and Drinkwater) will have probably affected his playing style to a certain extent - even though he's been brought up at Crewe. Call it the "Manchester Flair".
lgfualol Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 A transfer that could work out very nicely. Anyone have a clue how much you think he would cost? 2 million? Or 15m because he's English.
