Stuliasz Posted 18 August 2005 Posted 18 August 2005 Penultimate episode of the series on tonight, what do people think of it so far? I think its not quite as good as the office for the reason that people can't quite relate to it in the same way, its far more just general cringeworthy comedy writing by Merchant and Gervais which they are masters of. I also like the way they include real life actors/actresses/celebrities in the show, and its very good of them to degrade themselves in the way they do, I was especially impressed with Ross Kemp and Les Dennis. Samuel L Jackson is in the one tonight though so lets look forward to it!
Libertine Posted 18 August 2005 Posted 18 August 2005 I agree, it's not as good as Office, but it's funny.

Obviously Extras is not as good as The Office but still a brilliant sitcom in my opinion.

oundlefox Posted 24 August 2006 Posted 24 August 2006 Les Dennis at the end - 'If its up there I'll give you the money myself.' Absolute genius from Gervais

The People's Hero Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 I am now you've reminded me. I hardly switch my tv on these days. Extras is brilliant, IMO.

potter3 Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 Extras is quality, especially the ones with Samuel L Jackson (the racial one) and the Kate Winslet one (the disability one )
The People's Hero Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 Change of plan - got to go to the pub. Wish I had Sky+ Nevermind.

dandannieldanok Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 The Keith Chegwin thing where he couldn't get the scene right was hilarious. And, Barry is a cult hero.
