Libertine Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 'Twas good tonight IMO. Still not as good as the first series, but funny. Chris Martin was funny, 'Are you having a lauuugh?'. M&W was okay but getting a bit tedious.....especially the sodding snooker commentators, that's just not funny. Mock the Week was brilliant as usual.
syston_fox Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Thought it was the best episode of extras so far this series. Chris Martin was quality in it "Gotta hurry back, Gwyneth is making drumsticks" Actually thought Mock The Week wasnt up to its usual high standards this week.... but that could be because I cant stand John Culshaw!
Ric Flair Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 I thought last night's had some cracking moments, Merchant seems to be getting the some of the best scenes and lines at the minute, which is good. Last episode was the best I think. ' You'd struggle to do £200 in a chippy '

They should be a 'once or twice a series' cameo.

Janx Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Trust me... like ALL Gervais work...its a grower! I had to literally TURN my head away last night...talk about car crash comedy!! BRilliant!!! MORE GERVAIS MORE!!
Ricey Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 Last nights was a bit over-the-top with all the things going wrong but hilairious at the same time, so many celebrities making fools of themselves.
syston_fox Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 In terms of comedy programmes this week, Best of the Worst wins hands down. Tonights episode was the funniest thing Ive seen in ages especially when it got all competitive near the end!
lildave3 Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 In terms of comedy programmes this week, Best of the Worst wins hands down. Tonights episode was the funniest thing Ive seen in ages especially when it got all competitive near the end! I just watched that thing on bbc1, on after Boycie and co. Both funny. Missed Extras last night due to playing football, anyone know when it is repeated?
Cat Burger Posted 7 October 2006 Posted 7 October 2006 Mitchell and Webb is cringeworthy, it really isn't going to do the viewing figures for peep show series 4 any good. Peep show is brilliant, can't believe they could lend their names to something as crap as Mitchell and Webb look.
Libertine Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 Average, other than the exploding bottle which was pretty funny. M & W was shit really. Mock the week was fantastic (again).

Dr The Singh Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 peep show is written by two other people isn't it, these two just act on it, which explains why peep show is so much better. Great avatar bluearmy5, who is it, if you don't mind me asking!!!
The People's Hero Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 peep show is written by two other people isn't it, these two just act on it, which explains why peep show is so much better. I think it's written by those two... or at the very least co-written by those two. Mitchell & Webb look has had some good material and some awful material. I reckon if you take the 4 episodes I've seen, you could probably make ONE good episode out of that material. I don't find Mock the Week to be that funny. The Scottish guy is fairly quick and witty but most of them are slow, crude and unfunny, like most of my posts ( ! ). Extras was a bit of a let down for me last night
Knighton Matt Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 This was the first week I thought the Mitchell & Webb Look was a letdown.
The People's Hero Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT'S NUMBERWANG!

The People's Hero Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Is he the Scottish fella? If so, I'm with you. If not, I'm against you.
Knighton Matt Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Is he the Scottish fella? If so, I'm with you. If not, I'm against you. That he is, m'boy, that he is.
The People's Hero Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 That he is, m'boy, that he is. Good stuff, in that case, can I remark on for how long I've admired the cut of your jib? A long time, that's how long.
Knighton Matt Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Good stuff, in that case, can I remark on for how long I've admired the cut of your jib? A long time, that's how long. Would help me out if you could be specific on a timescale, say, three days?
Babylon Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Agree apart from Frankie Boyle who in my opinion is a genuinely funny guy. The others are all useless. Yup... the blonde lad and that black women are so unfunny it hurts. If she wasn't a women and black she wouldn't get airtime. As for the bloke with the stupid voice... WE KNOW IT'S FAKE, SO STOP IT!!!
Babylon Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 I think it's written by those two... or at the very least co-written by those two. No they have nothing to do with the writing, they probably have a bit of input but it's written by two guys whos names escape me. M & W were on Jonathon Woss last week and said as much.
