Guest MattP Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 That guardian headline "Far-Right Leads the Charge" with a massive picture of Farage above it lol Despite at every opportunity saying he won't work with them BBC desperately trying to link UKIP with the NF in a way even Buce would blush at.
Strokes Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 It's great stuff. Will be the first time in over 100 years a party other than Labour/Tory has won a national election. The Westminster pen is going to be invaded by the UKIP fox. Can you imagine what the vote would have been without the smear campaign from the media? The media chiefs must be choking on their own headlines, not as powerful as they thought .Its going to be intresting as to how UKIP approaches the general now, farage was already talking of seats, he must now deliver a proper manifesto to keep hold of some of these votes. Or will the big three respond to try and regain ground, politics just got intresting
johnny the fox Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 UKIP winning a seat in jock land.. what a fookin hoot..
Father Ted Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 Excellent night of results so far. Would be rather amusing if Labour came 3rd behind the Conservatives. Most UKIP voters will more than likely defect back to Conservatives for the General Elections so I don't quite get all this uproar surrounding UKIP. This is a stance, by the people, against the EU and what it stands for in this country. The nation is not happy, the left won't do anything about it and Conservatives are sitting on the fence. Something needs to be done, the EU is running a Robin Hood system, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor! Say no to the EU.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 Smear campaign ? The media has given Farage a platform to plug his anti EU rhetoric over and over again.
Guest MattP Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 UKIP winning a seat in jock land.. what a fookin hoot.. Serves Salmond right after portraying UKIP as the little Englanders party.
Father Ted Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 Smear campaign ? The media has given Farage a platform to plug his anti EU rhetoric over and over again. And he has now unfairly been made out to look like a 'racist' and a 'fascist' on par with Tommy Robinson and Nick Griffin according to some. UKIP were strong in Europe before these elections anyway, it's not as if they've just come from nowhere.

Which has then given his chance to get his face on the news and papers almost every single day and spout his rhetoric. Yes they were always strong, but never this strong as seen by the gain in both MEP's and share of the vote.

Father Ted Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 How typical that Harry-LCFC is a Lib Dem supporter. The biggest do-gooder on this forum.
lavrentis Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 Dissapointed that hard left parties have done well in Greece etc Not surprised though as last year I went the people I spoke too were very pro left
Harry - LCFC Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 What are you talking about? In fifth wayyy! I was poking fun at them actually. How typical that Harry-LCFC is a Lib Dem supporter. The biggest do-gooder on this forum. Compliment accepted
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 What are you talking about? You really think that UKIP and Farage have been effected by the press? He has been on the news every single day for the past month, whether that be defending this 'slander' or otherwise. Giving him the opportunity to get his message to voters on a daily basis. Complete disproportion of coverage to the UKIP movement in comparison to other parties.

Tom17LCFC Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 haha genuinely don't know who I hate more out of Lib dems and UKIP. Clegg or Farage, like choosing whether to have my balls or knob cut off.
Father Ted Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 Uncalled for! I could have gone further and called his opinions irrelevant too, but I'm not that bad

BoneDog Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 25% of a 40% turnout is just 10% of the electorate - hardly 'all of France'. Turnouts are atrocious just lately. 30% round my way the other day. God I hate Alex Salmond so much the fat little twat
