davieG Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Starting from Monday (30 June), Leicester City will have a new phone number, providing a more straightforward, lower-cost service for all Club enquiries. From 9am on Monday, 0344 815 5000 will be the single point of contact for all enquiries and purchases. Calls to the new 03 number will be charged at a basic national rate, the same as calls made to standard UK landlines - and the good news is that calls to 03 numbers are also often included in bundled minutes or unlimited call packages from mobiles! The Club’s existing number, 0844 815 5000, will remain in operation for an interim period. Callers dialling the 0844 number will be given the option to hang up and then redial the new 03 number at the cheaper rate, or may continue with the call and will then be transferred at a cost of five pence per minute plus any network extras. goose2010 Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 That's definitely a step in the right direction cost me about £15 to get my Play off ticket last season.
Vicki Vixen Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 We spend enough time on here slagging off the ticket office (and most of it justified) - so credit where credit is due, it sounds like the club are listening to the fans and doing the right thing with regard to the premium rate number. This is a really positive change.
Dan Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Credit where due. Hopefully it delivers some much needed progress in that area.
Marmite Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Good to see, lets just hope they pick up the phone a bot quicker. They are clearly understaffed or just don't prioritize phone calls. Most of the staff down there need a rocket up there arse and to smile abit more
Aarongu Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Pretty sure all businesses are being forced to change their customer numbers to 03 number. So the club are just abiding by the rules set by Ofcom.
red5 Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Way too late in doing this, booking fee should be next. Pearson out
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Much better. Trying to get my season ticket sorted over Skype cost almost a tenner in connection charges alone.
MPH Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 0898 12 11 85 Someone please call that number and tell me if it still works! I would but I'm at work. In a hospital. In america. If you can't see the building then you can't call it from this stupid place.
wattolcfc Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Applauding the club for doing something that they've been forced to do? If the club really cared why didn't they do this years ago instead of waiting for ofcom to force their hand. About time I say, the club have been disgracefully ripping off fans who had to wait in a queue for ridiculous amounts of time, costing a lot of time and money.
ScouseFox Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 yeah just after everyone spent about 50 quid each waiting in a queue for days for sts.
Livid Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 yeah just after everyone spent about 50 quid each waiting in a queue for days for sts. If you were lucky enough to get in the queue. It cost me about £6 to be continually told they were experiencing a high volume of calls.
