Dan Posted 14 July 2014 Author Posted 14 July 2014 Yep we're confirmed as a Saturday 3pm v Everton http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/10964707/Premier-League-on-TV-Louis-van-Gaals-Manchester-United-to-feature-on-BT-on-opening-weekend.html Great stuff. But that's where the great stuff stops. Their contempt for fans is a ****ing joke. Do they actually do it on purpose? You get actual fans defending this lot saying "its the way it is now" and all that kind of stuff but why do they mess around with all of this? The fixtures came out nearly a month ago. What was stopping the Premier League, $ky and BT deciding their TV fixtures before they actually released the fixture list to everyone?
Dan Posted 14 July 2014 Author Posted 14 July 2014 Sky release their first 4 months today at 3pm. Moved to 5:20 [/thisisgreatbanter]

What was stopping the Premier League, $ky and BT deciding their TV fixtures before they actually released the fixture list to everyone? Phil Neville asked David Jones the sky sports presenter if they were releasing the sky fixtures today, he replied with "patience Philip" Exactly the reason I hate Sky, mess about with fixtures, don't give a sh*t about fans who have to book travel, days off work etc. This should have been sorted as soon as the fixtures were released last month.
Corky Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 In terms of home games, I don't think either Arsenal or Man United will be Monday night, Arsenal is before an international break and Man United is followed by the League Cup third round. Burnley, WBA and Sunderland won't be that appealing so hopefully they'll be left on Saturdays.

Oh, they DO give a sh*t about the fans, just not whats in the fans' interests. By messing around with the fixtures, it means its harder for people to actually get to games. As a result, fans end up staying at home. Of course, as they don't want to miss watching their team, they watch it on TV. Which drives viewing figures up and nets Sky/BT even more money. It's despicable...
RowlattsFox Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 If Everton isn't moved then is be surprised if Chelsea game isn't.

Yep I read that. The Telegraph know them - why don't the fans? It's the unnecessary contempt they show for fans that pisses me off. I can accept the odd fixture being moved but why do they do as much as they can to rub our noses in it?

Burnley, WBA and Sunderland won't be that appealing so hopefully they'll be left on Saturdays. Arsenal won't be the early Saturday either, nor will Burnley at home, seeing as that's BT's slot. You can work out that Man Utd's third and seventh games are both on BT from that article.
K1FOX Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 Everton stays Sat 3pm and so does Chelsea according to sky. Arsenal at home moves to the sunday 4pm and Man utd at home Sunday 1.30. http://www1.skysports.com/football/competitions/premier-league/fixtures/august-2014
Guest MattP Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 Absolute *****. I now miss Man U and Arsenal at home.
K1FOX Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 Absolute *****. I now miss Man U and Arsenal at home. Thats a bummer but can't say it wasn't expected. Most live games in Premier League will be Sundays.
Dan Posted 14 July 2014 Author Posted 14 July 2014 Could be worse. No Chelsea away on TV amazes me. Still not going though.
Guest MattP Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 Thats a bummer but can't say it wasn't expected. Most live games in Premier League will be Sundays. Oh I expected it
whitlock Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 Need to get used to that - Sundays and Monday nights. Fortunately we're not going to be that regular on Sunday/Mondays - not like the 'bigger' clubs any ways.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 Can't go Arsenal now. Bumholes. Edit: Actually, given the date I might just make it.
Fox92 Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 The Arsenal game has worked out well for me personally because it's my mates birthday on the Saturday, and I couldn't make both. Sky are still pricks though. Where can I find the sky fixtures? http://www1.skysports.com/football/competitions/premier-league/fixtures/august-2014
eye666 Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 Happy as anything as I can now go to the Arsenal game.
Dan Posted 14 July 2014 Author Posted 14 July 2014 Swansea away is 5:30 apparently. Don't mind that again.
norfolkfox222 Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 Arsenal 16:00 Sunday Man U 1:30 Sunday Swansea (AWAY) 17:20 Sat not tooo bad
Banks Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 Don't mind Swansea away at 5:30, just more time to drink. We'll sell out easy as well providing tickets aren't stupidly expensive.
Dan Posted 14 July 2014 Author Posted 14 July 2014 So Chelsea v Leicester has avoided being on $ky, at the expense of.... wait for it.... Hull v Stoke. Yes. Really.
