Finnegan Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 I know I'm going to get crucified given his first 3 performances but I just don't think Hammond is good enough. Surely Danny D should be in, and if Vardy is fit he has to play. Yup. You play your best players when they're fit. **** being nice. Hammond has been good but we've got better.

Your right mate, NP is a great manager but I feel like he sometimes tries too hard to prove the point about keeping your place if a good game etc...I don't think Milner will be in when Toure is ready.
Finnegan Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 No Kasper on the bus. Unless I'm blind. (possible.)
Stadt Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Is Kasper injured or is it another issue? Would like to see Vardy for Nugent personally, just because V has pace and hopefully might bag a few more of his chances than Nugent has done. He is always a threat for a penalty too. Here's a random thought, what about an attacking 4-3-3? Sch/Hamer De Leat Moore Wes Konch Drinkwater Cambiasso King Vardy Nugent Ulloa Just because Stringer said the lineup could surprise people. Maybe we are going to put them under pressure??? If Cambiasso is as good as we are promised, then he should start if fit. Someone has to miss out for the team. Playing with 3 strikers doesn't work
Tommythefox06 Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Is Kasper injured or is it another issue? Playing with 3 strikers doesn't work Another issue? Such as what?

Wtf do you want from him?
Deucalion Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Is Kasper injured or is it another issue? Playing with 3 strikers doesn't work I've seen it work well for us, although in the Championship. Vardy and Nugent both work hard so would help out the fullbacks before attacking down the flanks with pace. I don't know enough about Stoke to know whether attacking down the flanks is the best option, I was just speculating on the surprise team Stringer has promised us.

Stadt Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Another issue? Such as what?Personal issue, fatigue, fell out with somebody?
st albans fox Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Here's a strange one. Back 5 picks itself with hamer in goal Midfield Knockers. Hamm. Drinks. Albrighton or vardy King or nuge (more likely) behind ulloa Jeff and Riyadh rested after tough trips away. Riyadh may not even make the bench. NP seems to like vardy playing wide and cutting into the middle where his pace can cause issues with players turning. Doubt EC is ready for a full game. Knockers was in NP's first choice starting eleven three games ago. He wasn't fit then - should be now.

Wtf do you want from him? Yeh he played well because in those games as we had to graft a lot more, we had to chase and didn't have the ball for long periods, he did a job, a good job. But I expect us to have the ball a lot more today and in the coming games and we need players in who are better on the ball.
FoxLAD Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 I think it will been the same line up as previous games.
st albans fox Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Personal issue, fatigue, fell out with somebody? , if he isn't playing, he's injured. Why are some making a big deal out of it. Someone mentioned it on Tuesday.
veezeeblue Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Kasper out for Cambiasso going with 11 outfeilders 4-5-2
theessexfox Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 He may be good enough but we still have better. You play your best players. Drinkwater is our best midfielder. Personally I'm yet to be convinced by King-Drinkwater together, and as good as Drinkwater is, I'm unsure how sharp he'll be with so little competitive football this season. I wouldn't drop Hammond.
KFS Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Inb4 about 10 "I told you so" posts like a throwback to year 7. Who will take on the role of the fierce ITK defender this time? "I believed you the whole time mate :)"
Guest Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 So you're acknowledging he's played well against 3 of the top 5 clubs in the country, but he's still not good enough? Wtf do you want from him? Hammond wasn't so good in the last 1 and he's nowhere near the level of Drinky. Very happy to have him as a backup.

He may not have looked glamorous and he may have been scrappy, but Pearson himself acknowledged how key him and King were in our clever defending which frustrated Arsenal, shut down spaces in key areas, reduced them to a handful of opportunities and earned us a well-deserved point. I for one think he had a good game, Pearson seemed to agree.

st albans fox Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Brilliant ! Unchanged! Good ole Nige! And it's hamer who is injured! EDIT: Official twitter corrected now. Kasper injured.
Fatty Arbuckle Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Stringer was right then, I am surprised. No changes to the entire squad (apart from gk) is a very strange one for me.
roblcfc84 Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Really struggling with this selection. Afraid this could be a defeat. Expected at least the bench to be re-shuffled
Richmondfox Posted 13 September 2014 Posted 13 September 2014 Slightly disappointed with Cambiasso and Drinkwater on the bench. Hammond is a sending off waiting to happen, he does a job but will resort to hacking players when they use skill. Would've liked to see Vardy starting, Nugent has worked hard and provides a lot but three games missing chances he has to give someone else a try. If we can hold out till 65 mins then Cambiasso, Vardy and Knockaert could do a lot of damage if Stoke are tired.
