GingerrrFox Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 ****ing hell Jim Murphys gone. Ed Miliband can't carry on now.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Been an explosion in a police car outside the Bosworth count. Being treated as suspicious
Guest MattP Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Labour can probably hold one seat at the most now, wipeout. Tories hold the number one Labour target in England - Miliband could be gone by the time the country wakes up.

But, strangely, not necessarily great for the Tories. Don't get me wrong; brilliant result on the night. But they will have a very small majority at best. Which for people who enjoy watching politics is superb. I've known nothing but large majorities so this parliament has the potential to be hugely exciting in comparison to what I've seen before.
The Doctor Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Lib Dems now failed to get their deposit back in 82 constituencies... wonder how this will affect coalition negotiations with any smaller parties, seeing how much going into government has destroyed the lib dems.
GingerrrFox Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Conservative minority government with DUP backing. I think Sturgeon and the SNP are in a deluded state of importance. SNP are nowhere near as influential as they think they are.
Guest MattP Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Labour confirming they are the party of the Islington elite, only doing remotly well in London. Some strange goings on in Bradford, Galloway was being called as a loser, then all the respect people left the count, now it's too close to call again. Straight from the streets of Islamabad this one. If he wins all hell will break loose at the count.

Yeah, that seat will rumble on for a while yet, fairly likely that any win for him would end up being ruled invalid and another run be forced.
The Doctor Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 And labour have won Edinburgh South, looking like a sole MP in scotland for them.
Guest MattP Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Great stuff - Vince was the biggest up his own arse liberal in the coalition, delighted to see him vanish.
The Doctor Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 And the local papers here are reporting galloway saying he's lost. Good news.
The Doctor Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Tory tactical voting means Clegg just holds on, but a loss of 13.7%.
The Doctor Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Strong rumours from Labour HQ that Ed Balls is a dead man walking...
The Doctor Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Dumfriesshire goes blue, Tories and Labour to have the same amount of MPs in Scotland
Strokes Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Morning all, just digesting the night gone, over a brew.....anyone care to summarise they're thoughts?
Guest MattP Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Great hold for the Tories in Dumfriesshire, shame about Esther McVey, amazing pick up in the Gower from the Conservatives, won it by 27 votes.
Guest MattP Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Morning all, just digesting the night gone, over a brew.....anyone care to summarise they're thoughts? A very good night to be a Tory, A very bad night to be Labour, reach for the noose if you're a Lib Dem. UKIP edged out in target seats but have done very well on vote share, official opposition to Labour now in the North.

Shame for UKIP imo......other than that very happy so far.Any chance of an outright Tory majority? Some of the lib dem losses
Guest MattP Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Shame for UKIP imo......other than that very happy so far. Any chance of an outright Tory majority? Some of the lib dem losses I think it's probably about a 40% chance of a Tory majority.
