Jimothy Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 Sod all happening but rumours at the moment. Watching The Game from earlier which should finish around 1 when something actually starts happening.
Alf Bentley Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 First real big seat in at 1am - Nuneaton. If the Tories have managed to win that seat they should be having a very decent night. That sounds right, though we'd need to see seats across a number of different regions. I can see massive differences between different regions. A few Scots seats would be interesting, too. Why aren't BBC showing vote % as much as usual? They did mention it once, and it was estimated at Con 33% Lab 31%. Usually, they're all over vote percentage. There's going to be a massive hoo-ha about electoral reform if the exit poll is remotely correct. UKIP potentially on 15% of vote and 2 seats, SNP on 4% of vote and 55+ seats?!? Looks a bad night for Labour so far, but an absolutely disastrous one for the Lib Dems. Surprised to see them predicting a 2nd Green seat. Bristol West, I imagine?
Rincewind Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 Just been looking online for a poem. Afraid I do not know title or poet. It is set around 1816 and concerns a march and riots in London where the army attacked the protesters. After the event parlimentary policies were changed in favour of the lower class.

Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 Lib Dems collapse got Cameron in the back door.

Scotland will be very interesting, Labour might even be dragged through by Conservative voters in some of the Scottish seats. The UKIP vote is going to show what a shambles FPTP is. Norwich has came up on the BBC as the Green seat, wtf? Sod all happening but rumours at the moment. Watching The Game from earlier which should finish around 1 when something actually starts happening. Watching Ed Balls fidget has been one of the highlights of the night, I still think he'll get through but great to see him sweat, thinking long term I think I'd prefer to see him in the house representing Labour. His Mrs is on now, shes trying to claim David Cameron won't be able to form a government with the exit poll figures, it's weird delusion. Lib Dems collapse got Cameron in the back door. Errr....
Claridge Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 Lib Dems collapse got Cameron in the back door. And labour being hopeless

I'm not finding the filler much fun to watch at the moment, it's a lot of talking about nothing.
Harry - LCFC Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 Oh fvck off Mandy. "All the parties have lost this election" No they fecking haven't.
Gary Eatfood Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 I don't think I've ever heard the word caveat used as much as it has been tonight!
Mark_w Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 Oh fvck off Mandy. "All the parties have lost this election" No they fecking haven't. I think it's probably a little bit early to be that confident Harry. If the Exit Poll is right then you make a fair point, but it's a big if.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 Literally everybody playing down this exit poll, ouch.
Guest MattP Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 More I think about this if the Tories do get 310-15 I'd go it alone and not bother with a coalition. Dare the others to vote down a Queen's speech, it could only work in the Tories advantage if they did. Literally everybody playing down this exit poll, ouch. Nuneaton is the big one in 15 minutesish, if the Tories win and win by a couple of thousand I'll start to really believe it.
GingerrrFox Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 https://twitter.com/NateSilver538/status/210185033284190210 They were pretty much spot on in 2010...
MooseBreath Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 Norwich must be a city of champagne socialists. Easy to be pro-immigration and such like I suppose when you're hiding out in a cosy large majority white city in the middle of nowhere, far removed from any negative effects.
Stevosevic Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 https://twitter.com/NateSilver538/status/210185033284190210 The one in 2010 was spot on
Guest MattP Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 It was spot on in 2010. Recount in Bradford West so it's a tight vote for Galloway. Norwich must be a city of champagne socialists. We should dump them all on Norwich and Brighton, if they vote for parties who to take them in droves then let them have them.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 It was spot on in 2010. Recount in Bradford West so it's a tight vote for Galloway. That's incredible considering he had a 10k majority initially. Personally think he's lost, great news if so.
ADK Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 ****sake do I have to listen to this Tory bitch waffle on....
Alf Bentley Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Starting to see the massive regional divergences: - Improved results for Labour in NE, despite massive UKIP vote - Massive victory for Tories in Swindon (large Lab-Con swing) - Putney (one of the more gentrifying Tory areas of London, with a sitting minister): Slight Con-Lab swing - Rumours that Lab have lost seats to Con in Derby & Nottingham Expecting Tories to do very well in SE & SW outside London, East Anglia, East Mids....not so elsewhere #dividedtorynation
Guest MattP Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Farage in big trouble; Fromb365 Thanet (South) Conservative 1/4 UKIP 5/2 Labour 20/1 That's a huge result for the Tories as well, probably stops any immediate future defections.
Rincewind Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 David Mitchell just took a caller to task. The word to describe him 'asshole' Think I'll go bed.
