cjslcfc Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 I think it's probably about a 40% chance of a Tory majority. BBC forecast has now changed... Got them at 325 I think
Strokes Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 I think it's probably about a 40% chance of a Tory majority.Wow, that's a massive turnaround. That would huge.Tories will have the most seats declared soon, that's unusual for this time.
Harry - LCFC Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Ugh, became a momentary casualty by falling asleep for a few hours. Back in the game now. Questions: What's the turnout been like? What are the chances of a Conservative majority? Oh look, it's Dave!
The Doctor Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Shame for UKIP imo......other than that very happy so far. Any chance of an outright Tory majority? Some of the lib dem losses Would need 159 from 232 - can't see it happening personally - no outright majorities happening for me, minority tory government unless DUP want to do a coalition.
Strokes Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 With a full conservative majority, Cameron will have to honour his pledge for a referendum on the EU membership. That would be the best part about tonight/today, for me.

I cannot believe what I am seeing, I cannot help but feel Cameron has been let off a bit generally but at least the 'progressive left' appear to have failed to have gained a majority of the seats.

That would be the best part about tonight/today, for me. It's fast becoming my favourite political night ever, beyond doubt now that the recovery has been far reaching. If Ed Balls does go it's just the best all nighter ever. Biggest irony is Labour have been saying it was all concentrated in London and in the end that's the only area that they have done any good in. The Lib Dems are going to struggle to rebuild from this.

Utter chancers, openly talking about anti-Tory alliances, Sturgeon's arrogance in saying 'I'll make you Prime Minister Ed' - Well the English were there to make sure you didn't. They deserve exactly what they've got.
Harry - LCFC Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 The lack of representation UKIP are going to get in comparison to the SNP is pretty shocking really.

The Lib Dems are going to struggle to rebuild from this. I feel for the lib dems a bit, they've been the fall guys and took the blame for any mistakes the Tories have made. They could have easily been a destructive partner but haven't benefitted from the fact people are clearly happy with the last 5 years.Ed balls going would be fabulous, although I think labour will be better off without him. Galloway gone.
Guest MattP Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Galloway absolutely hammered! The bookies have got everything wrong in this election.
Guest MattP Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Nikki Morgan wins with increased majority. I think the Tories are breaking 326 here. :trumpet:
Grewks Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 Conservatives, barring any mishaps, will be here for a long time.
Jon the Hat Posted 8 May 2015 Author Posted 8 May 2015 Nikki Morgan wins with increased majority. I think the Tories are breaking 326 here. :trumpet: And ukip can **** off too
SMX11 Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 The lack of representation UKIP are going to get in comparison to the SNP is pretty shocking really. As a Ukip sympathiser I can't help bit feel sorry for Farage and co. The political machine is a ruthless beast. Lucky to get two seats now imo. From what I have seen from the results they have at least placed themselves well in certain areas of the north and Wales.
Guest MattP Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 And ukip can **** off too I do feel a bit for them, it's ridiculous to have one seat with that vote share. It's impossible to be depressed at this result though.
Strokes Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 I'm glad Nicky Morgan won, she won me over, a decent and caring MP.
Grewks Posted 8 May 2015 Posted 8 May 2015 The alternative vote system would have seen a huge amount of UKIP seats. They'd have been the 3rd biggest party by a long way.
