Guest Bilo Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 I think he is doing pretty well, he was squirming over Libya but apart from that a decent performance. What are you watching?! I've spent ten minutes watching it through the gaps in my fingers.
Strokes Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 Certainly pulled it back a bit towards the end. No politician has ever been able to say they had a good interview with Paxman though I'm looking forward to milliband
Guest MattP Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 Apart from Blair in the very early days of Cameron's leadership, I don't think I've ever seen anyone give him such a hard time in a debate. A huge opportunity for Miliband to impress. I have a feeling it could be worse than what we've just seen.
Strokes Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 What are you watching?! I've spent ten minutes watching it through the gaps in my fingers.I'm not sure why, I genuinely thought he was decent. Defended his record and stood by his decisions.
sphericalfox Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 This is an absolute necessity, its just a damn shame it's not closer to the election, where Paxman could pull them up on their manifestos.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 I have a feeling it could be worse than what we've just seen. Who knows? If ever there was a time to pull it out of the bag, it's now. Miliband's debating skills will be tested to their limits though.
Guest MattP Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 This is an absolute necessity, its just a damn shame it's not closer to the election, where Paxman could pull them up on their manifestos. I just text my mate exactly the same thing.
sphericalfox Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 Urggghhh. Cameron schmaltczy replies are hideously insincere and sickening. Milliband is going to have to pull out the stops if they want to actually make me vomit on my couch.
Stadt Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 I just looked Paxman up, he does a great job of showing no bias towards anyone (despite being a tory )
Sir Fynwy Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 This is the problem with modern politics, the career politicians are put up against a decent journalist like Paxman and look shit but it means nothing, none of them can answer questions so we end up with a few crappy sound bites and another shit government.

These things barely matter really. It's mostly people who've already made up their mind who they are voting for watching.

Strokes Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 Making a mockery of the question time crowd\rabble.
Guest MattP Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 Audience was a bad idea for this - easy questions and back in comfort zone. Would have preferred two 45 minute segments with Paxman continuing to grill.
Guest MattP Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 Pretty sure Cameron could say he was going to shag your bird and eat your kids and you'd still vote for him. What a stupid thing to say Carl. I didn't even vote for him in 2010 and might not this year.
Rincewind Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 just saw a couple of minutes of Cameron avoiding answering a question. now watching France V Brazil.

Would have preferred two 45 minute segments with Paxman continuing to grill. Yeah, Cameron is cruising now with a few simple platitudes. That said, much more Paxman and we may have seen one or both leaders break down in tears on live TV.
Sir Fynwy Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 What a stupid thing to say Carl. I didn't even for him in 2010 and might not this year. I full of stupid tonight, lots of grape juice [emoji6]
Stadt Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 I don't think Cameron came off too badly, the zero hour contracts had him squirming though.
Strokes Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 Pretty sure Cameron could say he was going to shag your bird and eat your kids and you'd still vote for him.I would congratulate him if he shagged my bird, I'd then ask him what it was like.
Guest MattP Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 I full of stupid tonight, lots of grape juice [emoji6] Naughty. Even I don't do that on a weeknight. Who do you generally vote for?
Stadt Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 What a stupid thing to say Carl. I didn't even vote for him in 2010 and might not this year. who did you vote for in 2010?
l444ry Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 Agree with the comments just above. What a snore bore that useless lightweight Kay Burley has turned this into.
Guest MattP Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 I don't think Cameron came off too badly, the zero hour contracts had him squirming though. Complete natural with the audience - he'll be delighted with that overall after a very poor start.
