cc_star Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Get 'Arry or Holloway in - They play the media game much better I agree with Pearson. You only have to see the swing of opinion on this forum on an almost weekly basis to see that he's bang on. If this place is a micro look at City fans per se, then you can't argue with the man Spot on
Sharpe's Fox Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 This shite being spouted by fans is taking me back to February to April 2013. Next post will be asking why he isn't playing Neil fvcking Danns.
Carl the Llama Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 I'm just trying to figure out what it was he was "asked" that he said that in response to... Â Put down the Spanner and pick up a book on sentence structure.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Im waiting for the following to send our fan base into meltdown: Â Stringer- "Nigel that's six games without a win, is it fair to say you're starting to feel the pressure?" Â NP- "Nah, there's no pressure, only weak people feel pressure."Â
iancognito Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 He doesn't care for fans fickle attitudes and he doesn't give crappy Holloway-esque soundbites for his media buddies. Â The difference is he was saying the same last year when we were winning and nobody was bothered. We lose a few games and people are picking up on every quote. Â Support the team and get behind them. I'm starting to think some fans thought we'd waltz this season too.
Spanner73 Posted 8 November 2014 Author Posted 8 November 2014 I'm not calling for him to go I don't need to , I hope I'm wrong but his stubborn attitude towards players wages and transfer fees during the summer and a need for better quality within the squad will ultimately cost him his job in the end !
MPH Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 I'm not calling for him to go I don't need to , I hope I'm wrong but his stubborn attitude towards players wages and transfer fees during the summer and a need for better quality within the squad will ultimately cost him his job in the end ! Â Â Or he could just of done what Harry redknapp did , spend millions, have inflated wages and get people on his back for that. Â Â I appreciated everyone is entitled to an opinion and everything but just take a chill pill and see how we are looking at Christmas before we condemn him and our season...
Tuna Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Honestly couldn't care less about his treatment of the media, Its his tactics and team selections I am worried about. Â If he's prickly its because he is feeling the pressure and rightly so.
Spanner73 Posted 8 November 2014 Author Posted 8 November 2014 1 goal in 6 away games , nigel your doing a great job , who says we need an attacking midfielder and a striker these fans don't know what their talking about ! You carry on burying your head !
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 "I have to continue to manage people’s expectations through hysteria and depression. It seems to be one or the other. I'm not going to get involved in people's emotional states"  I don't see much wrong in him saying that.   So who would people prefer, Ian Holloway a happy, jokey, always playing up to the media, clown or Nigel Pearson?  Mr Soundbite Holloway has won one of his last 11 league games for Millwall.   It seeems to me he's ptotecting his players, some of them don't deserve it but that's his way.  Players can get affected by the over hyping and critism and he's trying to minimise it  Agreed.   There is middle ground between wanting Pearson sacked and thinking he can do no wrong.  Absolutely correct and I think most fans fall into that category. However, The ones showing blind faith or wanting a manager sacked tend to have the loudest voices on the internet.  There's nothing wrong with having a bit of balance and a reasonable attitude towards the situation.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 I'm not calling for him to go I don't need to , I hope I'm wrong but his stubborn attitude towards players wages and transfer fees during the summer and a need for better quality within the squad will ultimately cost him his job in the end ! Â His stubborn attitude or the club's stubborn attitude? Pearson doesn't really have any say in wages / transfer fees.Â
