Guest ttfn Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Schmeichel 4 - Embarrassing goalkeeping for their second goal. If you're not going to come and catch that you've got no business being a professional goalkeeper let alone a Premier League one. Good save from Austin in the second half. De Laet 5 - Looked pretty average today, didn't offer his usual forward threat. Morgan 7 - Solid Wasyl 4 - Bit of a shambles today to be honest. Konchesky 5 - Not the player for games like this I don't think. Despite what I've had to say about Schlupp elsewhere I think he's a better left back for games like this. Mahrez 5 - Terrible first half, came into the game in the second period and then got taken off. SIA. Cambiasso 7 - Absolutely class in the first half, anonymous in the second. James 5 - Meh Schlupp 4 - Thought he was very, very poor, but scored a corking goal. Ulloa 5 - Held the ball up well but never threatened. Vardy 5 - How much of a threat is his pace when he looks like he is never, ever going to score? If we'd had Austin up front today we would have won that game. subs:Nugent 4 - May as well not have been there. Albrighton 4 - As above King n/a
Fox Ulike Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Yeah i think kasper's place needs considering. Three goals from inside the six yard box. I need to see them again on MOTM, but if his inability to gather crosses is costing us goals then maybe its... HAMER TIME! (Sorry been sitting on that one a while. To be fair thought the rest of them played well. Pearson should of shored things up at 2-2.
Fox92 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Morgan, Ulloa, Cambiasso were decent. The rest at 4s and 5s.
Beliall Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 bang average accross the board, vardy worked hard but no end result which is a shame, shmeichel has to go, he is not good enough when we need a keeper, looked fine last season when all we did was attack but he is hopeless most of the time now. mahrez looked lively second half, shocking he was taken off for albrighton, but it worked out ok keeping jeff on i guess. nuge was hopeless too.
Bamba's Babes Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Cambiasso my MOTM. One of his better performances since arriving. RDL, Konch, James need rotating.
Brooksy Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Schmeichel 3 - Dreadful performance. Scared to come for crosses and doesn't command his box. Think it's time for Hamer to step in. De Laet 3 - Standard De Laet, defensively inept. Morgan 5 - Best of a bad bunch, **** knows what he was doing for the own goal, should have just booted it out. Wasyl 3 - All over the shop, i'd be tempted to replace him with Upson against Liverpool. Konchesky 4 - Meh. Mahrez 2 - Did nothing. Cambiasso 6 - Class above for the first half hour but did fvck all after. James 2 - Completely anonymous. Schlupp 5 - Wonder goal. Tried to get involved but just lacks a footballing brain. Ulloa 3 - Ineffective. Vardy 5 - Got in behind their defence so many times in the first 20 minutes or so but can't pass or finish to save his life, don't think he's good enough unfortunately. subs:Nugent 1 - Sooner this clown retires the better. Albrighton 5 - Thought he did ok to be honest. Got involved and looked half decent, put a few good crosses in but fvck knows why NP took Ulloa off.

To be fair thought the rest of them played well. Pearson should of shored things up at 2-2. 100% agree. Kasper is a liability, said so to his face after the Southampton game. And got slated for it btw. When QPR score 3 goals from a total of 15 yards out, you have to question the keeper. That 2nd goal was an embarrassment. I wont bore you with my details, but I've played in goal, and coached, and to allow a cross from 40 yards out to drop unopposed in the 6 yard box is criminal. His pathetic shout of 'Away' is simply not good enough. Get Hamer in, faults and all, at least he'll make an effort, unlike the 'Show Pony' we have at the minute. If we can sell him in January, great. Bring back Conrad, and yes, I was at Portsmouth for the 6 - 1 defeat. Not a patch on your dad Kasper, go back to Notts County. I seriously dont rate him, can you guess?
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Kasper 3- Amount of crosses that came in the 6 yard box that he either flapped at or just stood on his line for was ridiculous. The second goal was floated into an area which any goalkeeper worth their corn would catch or punch away at the very worst. Decent shot stopper but can't cloud the fact that he can't dominate his area. De Laet 4- People have unfairly scapegoated De Laet this season, but today he was very poor. Allowed Fer to tear him a new one both inside and out and lacked composure on the ball. Pace got him out of trouble a couple of times to compensate for poor positioning. In his defence absolutely no cover provided by Mahrez in front of him.Morgan 5- Thought he defended pretty well, Austin didn't get much change out of him and put in some good blocks. Had to dock a point for the ludicrous own goal though, the most unnecessary slide I have ever seen.Wasyl 4- We have looked more solid with him in up to today, but he was particularly poor today. Made some rash challenges and didn't meet the ball in the air as well as he usually does. Made no attempt to play out from the back. Only highlight was his over head kick.Konch 4- Another who has received stick unfairly, with very few goals coming from his side all season. Didn't play well today though, Vargas caused him trouble and gave the ball away a lot. Played a few nice balls down the channel to Vardy. Mahrez 5- Our most creative player, and had the beating of their full back until he went off injured. After that became largely ineffective. I understand what Pearson says about having to accommodate him though, as a fair few times De Laet was isolated 2 on 1 with Mahrez ambling back without any great enthusiasm. Cambiasso (MOTM) 7- Took his goal very well and distributed the ball nicely looking to get Vardy in behind regurlarly. Could have possibly scored a second with the header in the second half and really tired after about the 60th minute. Reading of the game great but not the physical and dynamic midfielder we need in there at the minute. James 5- Looked after the ball okay, didn't do anything fantastically but was pretty steady. Minus a point for the frankly dreadful set piece delivery. Wasted at least 5 corners and a few free kicks in dangerous situations, which was summed up when he managed to find a one man wall. Schlupp 6- Was very direct, and caused their defence plenty of trouble with his pace and took his goal very well. End product worse than Dyer's though, the amount of times he gets into great areas and makes the wrong decision is unbelievable. Provided decent cover for Konch, meaning very few attacks came down our left as usual. Vardy 5- If he had taken any of the 2 absolutely great chances he was given, it would be a 9. Caused the defence trouble all afternoon with his persistant running of the channels and linked up the play nicely. But at the end of the day a centre forward has to take his chances and he missed 2 very good ones. Unlucky with the header that hit the bar. Ulloa 5- Held the ball up pretty well and won a few headers. Linked quite well with Vardy but didn't look like scoring yet again despite having a few decent opportunities to have a go at goal. Seems to be over thinking when in goal scoring positions.Albrighton 5- Looked okay, but some decent deliveries in and did a bit of defensive work which wasn't seen from Mahrez. Would like to see more of him in the coming weeks.Nuge 3- Been scapegoated, but just isn't good enough. Looks completely devoid of confidence and can't remember the last time he had a positive impact on a goame other than scoring that penalty against United.King N/A - Not sure why he was brought on.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I'll probably get pelters for this and fair play, Cambiasso was one of our better players, but why do we keep on having this 'did fook all after about fifty minutes' type thing? Genuine question..is it a case of 'class' until he runs out of puff? Because if so, Pearson should be taking him off.

But if he plays like he did in the first half today more often then he's definitely worth 60 minutes and then using one of our substitutes on.
Monsell1976 Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Not even commenting on the players, some good, some very poor. The question is, how ****ing poor were the officials, so biased, no excuse for the defeat, we didn't deserve to win

He did alright against United late in the second half to win the game for us though.

But if he plays like he did in the first half today more often then he's definitely worth 60 minutes and then using one of our substitutes on. It's a 90 minute game. If, like you say, our best player becomes redundant after 60 or minutes, we are fooked. It's happening too often.

Guest Col city fan Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 He did alright against United late in the second half to win the game for us though. I think it's clear now that was at bit of a freak result. Would you back us now against Utd?
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Not if we're in a good position from the first 2/3 of the game we're not. But we haven't been.. So that's not even an argument. Where do you get this 'class' thing from? It's a 90 minute game and we are sat at the bottom of the table. We cannot afford players to be running out of gas after 60 minutes. That was essentially my main concern in the summer. We need class and legs.

E-PASS Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I think it's clear now that was at bit of a freak result. Would you back us now against Utd? United are on a good run at the moment so no, but at the time they were a mid-table team as Liverpool are at the moment so possibly he will have more joy against them.

Yeah but we can't afford to waste a substitution per game on Cambiasso. He's good but he's not that good.
Guest ttfn Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Yeah but we can't afford to waste a substitution per game on Cambiasso. He's good but he's not that good. Absolutely, 100% it's worth it if he plays like he did in the first hour today. In the last couple of games Pearson has used his final change in the 85th minute or later anyway so it's not like we're doing much with the changes we've got anyway

In the last couple of games Pearson has used his final change in the 85th minute or later anyway so it's not like we're doing much with the changes we've got anyway I thought you were bright. I used to anyway. Can't you see that defending is a team game. It's also a function of not allowing the opposition the time and opportunity to create chances. Look at the bloody stats! Look at the times the opposition got into positions to make crosses. If Cambiasso is as 'classy' as you say, and he's a primarily defensive minded midfielder, why on earth are we bottom of the division and leaking goals for fun. Why is our midfield clearly not stopping this from happening, unless it's ALL the fault of a dodgy defence? Is that what you think? Or are you suggesting Cambiasso is exceptional, and it's he fault of all the other players. I simply don't buy it.
