Some perspective

Another myth is the 'strong scouting system'. Based on what exactly - we barely have a handful of players that another Premier League club would want and the ones they might (Kasper, Liam Moore, Schlupp) were not scouted by Pearsons scouts. The nearest they have got to scouting a quality player is Mahrez and even he came after the director of football was appointed so we'll never really know who 'scouted' him. The rest are crappy rejects from Prem teams, most never good enough to even get on the bench or a League cup game for their previous teams.

We thought it would be easy to get average players and turn them into world beaters like Martin did but sadly the management and/or the raw material is not up to it so I wholly reject the scouting ability schtick.

The four year contracts to NP's cronies is more damaging than Sven's long term signing of players like Andy King and Schlupp and Moore, but at least they are half decent players.

It's a mess to be sure, but a new manager while there is still time to attract three or four decent players in could save us, otherwise its down we go and I fear another ten years in the wilderness.

Yeah, those NP cronies on long term contracts include King, Schlupp and Moore who all signed new contracts in the last four months. Good that we are signing up half decent players.

Based on the fact he assembled a team to achieve the goal at the time, which was to get out of the division something you said he wouldn't so. But no, that's not good enough for you, not only should he have assembled a team for £11m that was not only good enough to storm the league by 102 points breaking left right and centre, but also good enough to sit comfortably in mid table in the premier league.

You're utterly deluded.

I can see the logic in not signing a whole new team when nobody knew which players would make the step up. I too cannot see the logic in giving 4 year contracts to every player under 28, if we are to push on then many of them will be surplus to requirement and we won't be able to ship them out, we now potentially have 7 Gallaghers at the club.

NFP was the one who said this squad was good enough, we have a defence that wasn't that great last season yet he chooses to keep playing it this season, does that make him deluded.

I knew this season would be difficult and expected to lose more games than we won, I know being 17th will count as success but it's ****ing hard work watching us throw games away week after week and seeing stupid substitutions like Sarurdays.

It still might be good enough, we're one point from safety. The games as so close we could be one player finding form or one signing away from turning close draws / defeats into wins. In fact we're just one moment of individual stupidity away from being safe, own goals, free kick trips in last minute etc.

We conceded more than Burnley last year and have conceded the same this, we let in one more than QPR last year. They have signed a whole new defence and have let in 4 more than us.

I'm fine with the four year contracts other than to perhaps King and one less to De Laet. At the worst  if we go down we're left with a team that broke most of the records that ever stood for a Leicester team in the Championship. Or if we stayed up and continue to strengthen we're left with some half decent squad players to supplement any new ones coming in.

That wasn't his point, was it?

He was simply comparing Pearson to O'Neill and said what the latter did best while he was here.

Gillies took over when we were already safe in the First Division, Bloomfield as well. None of them had to deal with trying to get us to the top flight by overcoming Championship (Division Two) or League One (Division Three) opposition. And arguably, the Championship has become a whole lot better and more competitive over the course of the past 40, 50 years with all the international influx.

Winning two different leagues to winning some cups and a top half finish its got to be winning the leagues as cup games are lottery where winning the league is over a season so its NP the better manager for me

So MON was just lucky to reach THREE finals.

We been broken down

to the lowest turn

and being on the bottom line

sure ain't no fun

but if we should be evicted from our homes

we'll just move somewhere else

and still carry on

Hold on, Hold on, Hold on

The only way is up, baby

For you and me, baby

The only way is up

For you and me

Now we may not known

Where our next meal is coming from

But with you by my side

I'll face what is come

boy, I wanna thank you

for loving me this way

things may be a little hard now

but we'll find a brighter day

Hold on, Hold on, Hold on

Think what he's getting at, is with no disrespect to Pearson and what he's achieved, to say he's a better manager than Oneill, who managed to give us cups and regular good premiership finishes is laughable.

When he's managed in the top division and kept us in the best league in the world, for a few seasons, then you may have a point.

Pearson has done well last season, and in league one, and a couple of playoffs, but he's achieved nothing in comparison to Oneill, who did it on a tight budget.

It's funny as you're just twisting things to suit your man love for NFP. There is nothing lucky about a promotion, 4 top ten finishes (check the records to see how many other teams managed that in the same period) and 3 cup finals. It's delusional to claim that 2 promotions comes even close.
