cityfanlee23 Posted 2 December 2014 Author Posted 2 December 2014 Kasper RDL Konch Moore Wes Mahrez Cambiasso Drinkwater Schlupp Vardy Ulloa Reasons: Due to their relatively slow midfield of Gerrard, Allen and Henderson, the key for me is the need to make sure we deal with Sterling's pace and Coutinho's creativity. Wes can deal with Lambert in the air, Moore/RDL to keep Sterling in check with his pace and Cambiasso to shadow Coutinho when we don't have the ball. Drinkwater is good enough to put Gerrard off his game when they've got possession. Danny should learn to be more of a nuisance when we don't have the ball – a bit like Muzzy used to do. When we've got the ball we should have plenty to cause them trouble with Vardy's pace, Ulloa's threat in the box and Schlupp and Mahrez creating things. 2-1. Have to disagree with being able to handle lambert in the air, we couldn't handle ourselves in the air. I agree on the rest, 2-1 vardy with both. Or wouldn't mind a drinkwater screamer to give us the faith back in him a bit
LcFc_Smiv Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 None of our fans have experience of managing in the premier league, nor have 100% survival rate from being bottom at November, you're going to upset a lot of people....

The sooner we ditch the zonal crap the better. Can't really believe Pearson, a former defender, is such a fan of it.

AKCJ Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 4-3-3 like we did against United. I swear we played a diamond against United. Nugent behind Ulloa and Vardy.
Stadt Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Let's go back to man to man defending at set pieces which we defended fantastically well
MrAus Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 kasper Simpson. Wes. Was Schlupp James. Cambiasso Albrighton Mahrez. Knockaert Ulloa. Hamer, Moore, Konchesky, King, Drinkwater, Vardy, Wood. Change my mind about our team ever pay time I think of it. De Laet needs to be dropped, and Konchesky, god awful at full back vs QPR. If we're playing Ulloa, we might as well have 2 people out wide who can cross. Instead of 2 who can't really. Also I'd play Schlupp on the basis that Sterling will swap swings and he can match him for pace, where as knonchesky will get absolutely blitzed by him. Come on you blues.

Clever Fox Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 Do people seriously think De Laet can handle Sterling or Courtino coming at him. either of them will destroy him.
J.Lisemore Posted 2 December 2014 Posted 2 December 2014 So de last starts and Simpson isn't even on the bench. My prediction was right then. Were going to be ripped apart down that right hand side unfortunately.
