Stadt Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Well, yeah, that's his job. You didn't need much foresight to see the defence would be comically out of their depth. They looked iffy quite often last season.I've identified 10 defensive players, here's your list Terry, sign 4 of these please.Oh sorry Nige couldn't agree terms with any of them.
HankMarvin Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 What people forget is this is basically the same team minus a few that couldn't win in 16 in the Championshit just a few years ago before we sneaked into the playoffs, for all Pearsons good attributes its seems he struggles stopping the rot for what ever reason
josh_baskin Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 But of course we all know we are guaranteed promotion next season if we stick with Pearson, its a foregone conclusion! Its what everyone else seems to firmly believe anyway.
Stadt Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 But of course we all know we are guaranteed promotion anyway next season if we stick with Pearson, its a foregone conclusion! Its what everyone else seems to dimly believe anyway. Obviously it's not guaranteed but surely you must agree Pearson is the most likely manager to take us back up?
Cropwellfox Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 We are not good enough and he under estimated how good the premier league is This. It's the manager's responsibility to get a squad capable of competing and he's not done it. Huge misjudgment - makes his comments after the Burnley game seem misguided at best and ****ing stupid at worst
MrAus Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Spend £50 million. 10 mil on a centre back, 10 mil on a left back, 10 mil on a winger and 20 mil on a striker. Dooooooooooooooomed, please hurry up January
HankMarvin Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Obviously it's not guaranteed but surely you must agree Pearson is the most likely manager to take us back up? Why would you want the same manager to do the same thing? What about if we made signings stormed the championship and he was adamant this team was good enough. 2 points from the last 36 he has not really showed any reason why you would potentially give him another go
lestajigs Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 He should of got the right players in the summer
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 He also overestimated how good it was. Had we tried to win matches playing our way instead of hoofing it all the while our weaknesses would not have been exposed nearly as often. I'm sorry you keep saying this and you are right in regards to certain games but I've seen us attempt to play"our way" numerous times this season and get beat, likewise seen us play conservative and pick up points. Most of the goals we are giving away are just down to individual errors and today is no exception, what plenty of people wont remember is Konchesky is frequently guilty of shit back passes just last season he got away with it as he wasn't giving the ball away to international strikers.
Russell sprout Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Resign. He signed a 3 year contract in the summer and pretty much quadrupled his pay for job security if he got sacked,a nice pay off,Pearson won't resign, and fair play to him
Grewks Posted 20 December 2014 Author Posted 20 December 2014 He should of got the right players in the summer How do you know he was in charge of signings?
Stadt Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Why would you want the same manager to do the same thing? What about if we made signings stormed the championship and he was adamant this team was good enough. 2 points from the last 36 he has not really showed any reason why you would potentially give him another goSo shall we sack him and probably get relegated anyway? Then that manager will probably struggle in the championship and get sacked only to bring somebody like Pearson in anyway. If went down and came back up and then started struggling again it'd be quite clear Pearson is definitely out of his depth and it'd be quite fair to sack him. Sacking him now will undo all of the groundwork Pearson (and the owners) have done just to gamble and get relegated anyway.
HankMarvin Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Lets be honest the Man United game was a freak result, after 17 games this season he has already shown his is out of his depth. Pearson believed this squad was good enough, and also made comments to that effect after the man u game. There are no excuses, when there are weaker teams doing better in the league like Burnley
lgfualol Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 Stop being loyal Tell Konch to pack his bags. Take the captain band from Morgan. Wasyl out. Vardy on bench. Hammond out.
Russell sprout Posted 20 December 2014 Posted 20 December 2014 He should of got the right players in the summer Was that not terry robinsons job though?
