If I recall correctly his debut was Blackpool away and he won the penalty (which we missed). He did score against Blackburn though, not sure if that was his first home league game. Scored in the play offs too. We didn't play him in his position. He's alright where he is for Spurs, but we stuck him wide most of the time. The lad had potential, that was obvious I mean he signed a four year contract at one of the Countries biggest clubs, but he was too lightweight for a team fighting to get out of the division imo anyway.

MC Prussian Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 In short: Lack of experience in all areas (bar Cambiasso), costly individual mistakes from a different player each game, lack of creativity in attacking midfield, lots of goals conceded on both flanks (happy terrorizing our left-back and right-back ), no tactical nouse when it comes to defending a lead. There's still hope. It's called January transfer window.

As we are newly promoted to the Premiership this season, I think it would be a great benefit to the squad to have some players who know a lot about the league we are in.

Never scored in the play-offs, it was the league game against Watford when he scored not long after coming on.Probably wasn't used correctly by Pearson at the time, but he showed absolutely no desire to be here. He always looked like he'd rather be anywhere else, and spent far too much time flicking his hair about! Seems to be proving now though that he's got a fair bit of talent.

No team has really turned Leicester over. yet What do you think Leicester are missing that could add that little bit extra to help turn these results around? Lloyd Dyer Is it a bit of experience? Obviously you have Cambiasso but is there just a little Premier League savvy missing? Can you get a couple of players in that can make the difference in January? :xmaslaugh:
TMELcfc Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 We lack composure... which comes with experience at this level, however, Paul Konchesky does love a shite back pass and he is probably the most experienced premier league player we have! Wes Morgan needs to go. Everyone loves him because he makes great blocks which looks great, like someone hitting a 30 yarder into the top corner, but he only has to make them because he doesn't read the game well enough and has to make up for his poor awareness. Our other centre back options however don't give you much hope... desperately hoping Upson gets to full fitness tells you something. I rate our midfield, I think there is a least a lot of promising young midfielders, and having Cambiasso in will be great for their development... however, that doesn't help when we need premier league class now, not in 6, 12 or 18 months time. And up top... the lad Vardy works his socks off and didn't look out of place against Man Utd, however, as we found out in his first season for us, he is a confidence player. When it's high, he is unplayable, when it is anything but high... he is bang average, especially his composure in front of goal. Nugent again is average, but gets constantly slated on here when I think we look more creative when he is on the pitch. So, all in all... we lack players with good composure and experience in the top division. I don't think Pearson got it right in the summer window, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Foxes Never Quit... but sometimes, endeavour isn't always enough.

Not being clever or horrible enough to make the necessary cynical fouls that will break up play. Our manager not knowing his strongest team. We've stopped doing what made us successful last season. This is absolutely spot on.

Villa hadnt scored for about six games until they played us. If a player is on a goal drought Doctor Tottenham has a cure. I'm surprised Leicester have struggled especially they way you stormed the Championship. Hopefully, you can get a couple into the club that will make a difference and keep you up. Leicester have always struck me as good respectable outfit with loyal support. And I used to have a soft spot for Frank Worthington too. .

A commanding CB, a defensive midfielder and a LB AND a good defensive coach to tell us exactly how to position ourselves defensively. Is it a bit of experience? Obviously you have Cambiasso but is there just a little Premier League savvy missing? Possibly, although this team did show last year they were far too good for the Championship, and I don't think that the quality in the squad is the reason we are bottom. Can you get a couple of players in that can make the difference in January? Unless we sign some real top top quality players, NO. We are playing better than our position and recent results suggests. We need a win anyhow and hopefully it comes against Spurs
