Jamie Woods10 Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 I had a good look at Leicester's results last night in preparation for a Leicester/Spurs article. No team has really turned Leicester over. What do you think Leicester are missing that could add that little bit extra to help turn these results around? Is it a bit of experience? Obviously you have Cambiasso but is there just a little Premier League savvy missing? Can you get a couple of players in that can make the difference in January?
Dan Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Bottle. Absolute lack of composure all over the pitch. Cambiasso's a calm head but that's one player. Stupid mistakes in front of both goals, in particular our end, will send us down.
Matt Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Q - What do you think Leicester are missing that could add that little bit extra to help turn these results around? A - 11 Premiership League quality players, that can compete at this level opposed to trying - They're trying I can't take that away from them, lacking quality though. Q - Is it a bit of experience? Obviously you have Cambiasso but is there just a little Premier League savvy missing? A - Yes. However when you say a 'is there just a little Premier League savvy missing' well change little to alot. Q - Can you get a couple of players in that can make the difference in January? A - I hope so, but like i've said imo we need pretty much a whole new team, 2 or 3 won't be enough.

We haven't been thrashed, but most teams who have beaten us have done so at a canter. Many times at 2-0 a team have simply ran the clock down rather than go for 3 of 4. We aren't missing anything in particular imo. We are not just not good enough all over the pitch, and our defence has been shambolic regularly.
cjslcfc Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 You'll see on Friday when we start well, get excited, seem to pose a threat and then one of our defenders will slip over gifting the ball to Kane so he can stick it in the bottom corner.
Jace Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Can we ask you a question? Are you any relation to fictional Foxestalk Leicester City player Chris Woods?

Donut Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Were missing quality, thats the top and bottom of it. The quality to stop chances being created/going in at one end of the pitch, and the quality to create and finish going forward. Matched with the endeavour we show, we could be a solid Premiership side. I think a lot of the mistakes come about by spending periods of games under pressure, coupled with panicked decision making and opponents making us crack. Dont let the "close" scorelines fool you, many games have either been well over as a contest despite the scoreline with opponents seeing the game out, or could have been worse on the day.

lc4lcfc Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Such doom and gloom haha We need 4 players and a bit of luck in a game or two to pick our heads back up.
Fox92 Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 We haven't been thrashed but our performances have been poor. Individual mistakes and conceding easy goals is a big problem. We seem to lack composure, it's like nobody ever wants the ball. Cambiasso is composed on the ball and reads the game well but that's it.
Bert Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 It's a combination of: A defence that isn't up to premier league standard. Not having many ideas in the final third of the field. Not being clever or horrible enough to make the necessary cynical fouls that will break up play. Our manager not knowing his strongest team. We've stopped doing what made us successful last season.
Guest Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Harry Kane/Redknapp/Houdini depending on which of the FT posters you don't yet have on ignore
Lionheart Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 talk now of Harry Kane getting an England call up!He was f***ing useless in a Leicester shirt!
ealingfox Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Is 'Premier League savvy' constant diving, timewasting and buying non-fouls?

Pretty much this in a nutshell. There are too many faults for this to be turned around. We're still in touching distance but we're going to need a turn in form just as quick as the one that kickstarted this nonsense for us to have any chance of staying up.
Jamie Woods10 Posted 22 December 2014 Author Posted 22 December 2014 talk now of Harry Kane getting an England call up!He was f***ing useless in a Leicester shirt! Didnt Harry score in his first game and was then used as a sub in most games?
