The Horse's Mouth Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 **** me, I hope this track gets binned next year. why did merc give Nico worn tyres anyway
The Horse's Mouth Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Nico's done well today, hope he builds on this.
Izzy Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 I can't stand nostalgic prats who can't appreciate the greatness of today's sporting stars. Who'll always hark back to the days others weren't alive to witness so kind of beat you down with what they believe is some kind of nostalgic supierioity. As a self confessed nostalgic prat, I struggle to appreciate the 'greatness' of today's F1 stars. I stopped watching when the Schmacher dominance got boring and I can't be bothered to watch the bore fest that is today's racing. Following F1 in the 80's was brilliant. Great races, great drivers, great cars and great entertainment, and I just don't feel the same buzz watching current proceedings. Sorry to hijack your thread and I fully expect to be shot down, but please don't compare this F1 era and drivers with the good old days
fuchsntf Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Charming. I stopped when you called my post crap because you clearly didn't understand or read it properly. The sport has changed, they don't race like they used too. So you can't compare today's drivers as racers to the ones of old. But if you'd read my post properly you'll see that I said he can become one of the greatest, it'll just be different. I'm like you, I can't stand nostalgic prats who can't appreciate the greatness of today's sporting stars. Who'll always hark back to the days others weren't alive to witness so kind of beat you down with what they believe is some kind of nostalgic supierioity. ,OK mis-understood, I apologise. Going over it again, I'll let you off...this time
Stinkenzo Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 **** me, I hope this track gets binned next year. why did merc give Nico worn tyres anyway kneejerk reaction from when Merc pitted Nico for the 2nd time?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 kneejerk reaction from when Merc pitted Nico for the 2nd time? the race was shit, I'm not entirely sure how you can dispute that.
Stinkenzo Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Can't quite understand why you think my comment was aimed at your verdict on he race and not your question about Nico
The Horse's Mouth Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 The question doesn't really matter now, it was weird at the time and still is quite weird, just seems odd you'd pick up on that rather than the race quality, considering you're someone who notoriously defends borefests on here.
Stinkenzo Posted 3 November 2015 Posted 3 November 2015 Why did I pick up on your comment that hints that Merc are favouring Lewis instead of the quality of the race? Really? The race was poor which is a shame because the layout would suggest a lot of overtakes could be done but no

isaidno Posted 17 December 2015 Posted 17 December 2015 http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/itv-linked-with-shock-new-f1-deal/?s=1 F1 back to itv ?
MPH Posted 17 December 2015 Posted 17 December 2015 To make it more competitive this year, Mercedes should only be provided with 3 tyres for their car- its their decision which wheels to put them on... Would prob still win it.....
Amin Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 I'd prefer it to stay with bbc but if it's itv or nothing then obviously I'd be happy with itv. Biggest question with them is will it be ad free? Before I got access to a mates sky go, I watched a few races on the german rtl channel and I found going back to seeing ads in the middle of races very frustrating.

I agree but these days I watch the race on x 12 after the first lap, only stopping to see incidents or some pitstops or overtakes - I just haven't got the time to dedicate to it when it's generally pretty lame.
Super_horns Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 The BBC are probably quite happy to drop F1 whilst its not that exciting (even though its a Brit on top)
Amin Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 It's now official, BBC have let go of f1. Channel 4 will now show it.
iamafox Posted 21 December 2015 Author Posted 21 December 2015 Channel 4? Seriously? I'm lost for words.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Channel 4 bound to have adds, like Eurosport used to with the MOTOGP. <Insert Roy bin image here>
