SKY TV Gearing up to show every Premier League match?

Why does it have to be sky, though? If sky are going to collect subscriptions and then pay some of that money to the clubs, why not just cut out the middle man and have the club stream the games direct? That way they get the whole pie instead of just a slice and it will make up for any drop in attendances.

I would pay £15 - £20 ppv per game no problem, and no I don't care about the atmosphere, that part of the game died a couple of decades ago.

If they do it they should have something like a 100 mile radius area around where the game is being broadcasted from to stop attendances from falling too much

it wont work, because of things like streams, you think you can already get a decent stream for all premier league games so why would anyone pay for it? the more that are available will just make it easier for you to obtain it illegally, why would people pay when they would be able to get it for free. It would kill football probably not the premier league but it would the football league. The FA will block it unless they can come up with a decent way to police it, and lets be honest they haven't come up with anything yet.

I watch more live football than TV games but I bet I'm in a minority on here, I hardly ever bother to watch MOTD as well

It wouldn’t surprise me if they did go down this route at all. Although I’m sure they know they need to tread very carefully to prevent decimating our beautiful game any further...

The Premier League is beamed all over the world and is packaged up as some amazing, exciting league with spine tingling atmospheres a plenty – it follows suit that there would perhaps be an appetite to show every game live.

I do find all this ‘hype’ somewhat laughable when you see matches like the Arsenal vs Stoke game the other week (my friend was able to stream the game easily).  The ground was pretty much silent throughout, a far cry from the passionate English football ground that Sky Sports portray. Atmosphere aside, there were thousands upon thousands of empty seats taken up by wealthy season ticket holders that couldn’t be arsed to attend, probably too cold that day, again not a great advert for Premier League football. Although, I’m sure this will become more and more commonplace as ordinary fans are priced out.

The above is a direct result of the stupendous amounts of money that are pumped into English football year on year from the TV broadcasters (Sky Sports being the main perpetrator), which in turn, help to feed an ever growing footballers wage price spiral.

I’d sooner burn my money than give it to Sky Sports to show yet more live football.

Not for me, it would be a good excuse for fans not to turn up and probably in the future they'd playing in front of half empty stadiums, though at the end of the day it could mean reducing the ticket prices. I dunno I hate televised football personally I get sick of the biasedness towards the london clubs.

This does worry me as I feel eventually attendances would be extremely affected.

I have this package and am Leicester based STH not able to get away tickets so this is next best option, NBC live shows every EPL game in HD watchable through Smart TV, Laptop, IOS and Android (transfers great from ipad to 50" via HDMI lead).

I presently pay 45 euros (£37) for a season which includes a VPN connection also (required to fool your system into believing you are based in the US)

I get that for free, why pay?

not keen on this idea and although it wouldn't stop me going to home games it may reduce my awaydays. however I guess it would have an impact on clubs like our own and attendances in l1 and l2.

what I will say tho is, it's a joke that the rest of the world can watch our sat 3pm ko and we can't.

You can watch all EPL Matches anyway. Just buy an XBMC box, install the offside streams addon and make sure you have a FAST Internet speed. I pay £10 a month and its been flawless since start of the season. Watched Every single Leicester match in HD ;)

Or enable the NBC sports addon, use a free VPN (cyber ghost) and watch it for free.

These paid for stream sites are just selling you somebody else's content and are just as likely to blocked/stopped as the free sites. good luck getting your money back if they are.

I had this discussion with my Dad, I used to dl music for free, I now subscribe to Spotify for a tenner a month, why? because I really dont mind paying for something if it is good quality and easy, simple as that.

I would quite happily subscribe to a channel that showed every Leicester game.

(You probably know this but) XBMC is now called Kodi.

Webbo. Iv snooped their site index and API channel matrix system with urlsnooper prior to subscribing to it. They host all their streams from a main server. Iv had it since August and no issues so far... Don't get me wrong Sportsdevil addon is fine but I'd rather pay £10 a month and get HD regardless of where they get them from..

If your internet is up to it you can stream NBC Sports at 2000 odd kbps which is about as good as it gets. I tend to stream at 400 which isn't perfect but pretty good.
