pleatout Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 IT won't happen. The FA have a duty to protect the rest of football. Sunderland and others complain regularly about their attendances being affected by pubs showing their games live. Until december 2013 all prem games were shown live on tv by a number of satellite broadcasters - sky equivalents in spain, germany, italy etc. The prem changed the rules and now only allow each broadcaster 1 live game on tv, the rest are allowed online via streams. it is easier to restrict internet streams to countries [your ip address tells them where you are], satellite signals are much harder to restrict, although AlJazeera sport {now Bein sport] have moved a lot of their channels away from satellites that can be received in the uk. There will always be ways to watch the streams but t is never going to be simple.
CosbehFox Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 I sadly think it will happen. However when it does surely they have to a blackout rule like NFL. The stadium has to be around 95% to gain television coverage. Also will have to be a massive compensation package with all divisions down to Conference North and South.
TheReaper87 Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 How much are you paying for the package? I have this package and am Leicester based STH not able to get away tickets so this is next best option, NBC live shows every EPL game in HD watchable through Smart TV, Laptop, IOS and Android (transfers great from ipad to 50" via HDMI lead). I presently pay 45 euros (£37) for a season which includes a VPN connection also (required to fool your system into believing you are based in the US)
TheReaper87 Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 It isn't available in the UK,something about territories Hence the need to acquire a VPN, see above post
yorkie1999 Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 And i was just thinking about cancelling sky sports because it's getting boring. Same old same old.
Ashley Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Some replies in here shows why football has gone the way it's gone. Empty stadiums and zero atmosphere like above... wow. Ps: if you're watching on the tele you're a cvnt....

So the fact I've tried to get away tickets but can't so I do the next best thing and pay £37 to enable me to watch away games rather than listen to radio or sit scrolling through Sky Sports updates, if that makes me a cvnt then I hold my hands up and admit to being one however, I do have considerably more money to spend
RUDZY Posted 14 January 2015 Author Posted 14 January 2015 And i was just thinking about cancelling sky sports because it's getting boring. Same old same old. To be honest with you it is boring same old, same old unless it is your team playing.
RUDZY Posted 14 January 2015 Author Posted 14 January 2015 I'd pay 600 notes a year to watch all the Leicester games, that'd be a bargain really when you think about away games and travel costs thrown in. I'd want to know the club got 50% of the revenue but that might be a bit idealistic? I would be interested in the research actually as whilst there would be many that might swap going to the ground for the comforts of their own home (cue plastic accusations ) I would also imagine that there would be many fairly affluent people who currently contribute nothing due to work commitments, ill health, geography, families that may well make up and possibly increase the numbers and cash flow - let's face it, people can stream the match now for nothing but I'd prefer to watch in HD and pay for the year without all the faffing! Kick off with 3 BIG BOTTLES of fine german lager (BECKS) Couple of Sausage Rolls for the half time break...
linemakers Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Very lucky here in the USA that NBC won the rights this season to show EVERY game live on tv or also on iPads etc It's fantastic and the nearest I get to having a City season ticket. Very lucky here in the USA that NBC won the rights this season to show EVERY game live on tv or also on iPads etc It's fantastic and the nearest I get to having a City season ticket. I was Lucky enough to spend 3 weeks in Fl over Christmas, was well happy to find house had Infinity TV and every Prem match was on. But for some reason they didn't show the Hull Leicester game which really pissed me off

RUDZY Posted 14 January 2015 Author Posted 14 January 2015 But it wouldn't be Sky tv showing all the games, they'd be split over 3 packages (Sky-BT-Virgin) so you'd have to shell out for all 3. and as someone has already pointed out the kick off times would change drastically! Hope this idea never happens myself SKY have definetly had a CHINK in their armour regarding the Premier League, unfortunately BT have made it a tad more expensive and inconvenient for the armchair supporter

dayday Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 I like meeting up with friends, have 2 or 3 beers then watch the match at the ground, better than watching it on t.v anyday.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 I like meeting up with friends, have 2 or 3 beers then watch the match at the ground, better than watching it on t.v anyday. Of course. Its a day out. Give me this over going clubbing on a Friday night any day. People are all too quick to come up with excuses as to why they can't make a game or be a STH yet you get people like Jace, Scousefox and Basingstoke Fox who travel to Leicester regularly. Sky has just made it too convenient
RUDZY Posted 14 January 2015 Author Posted 14 January 2015 That's incorrect. I subscribe to viewtvabroad.com to be able to watch all UK tv and it includes SKY tv through SKY GO. I use my parents log in details as they live in the UK. Of course. Its a day out. Give me this over going clubbing on a Friday night any day. The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 It could work as inspiration to go and watch your team, particularly if CITY are on a good run. hmm. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.
RUDZY Posted 14 January 2015 Author Posted 14 January 2015 Leicester City are very fortunate to have a great following and sell out most of their games, the city is ever expanding with people from all over the globe queing up for a better life. Personally i don't see the attendances waning - i could see them looking to expand to a higher capacity.

Personally i don't see the attendances waning - i could see them looking to expand to a higher capacity. Whilst I agree we've always had good support, I will disagree about selling out most of their games, this is only a fact in the last 6 months and should we get relegated we won't get too many (If any) sell outs next year.
RUDZY Posted 14 January 2015 Author Posted 14 January 2015 I like meeting up with friends, have 2 or 3 beers then watch the match at the ground, better than watching it on t.v anyday. I can understand it
cambridgefox Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Call me sad but there is not much better than going to an away match, even on my own.Villa away was on the box,but Basingstokefox kindly sorted a ticket for me even at £41(villa not Basingstokefox )if I lived nearer and didn't have 2 kids I would get a ST?Cant beat it.Luckily there are a few good sorts on here( year of the fox, Basingstokefox ) that have got me a few aways.YOTF even got me a forest away, now which would you prefer .Box or there?Do understand travel with many, but what I'm saying is I probably would get a Sky ST,but would still go to some aways regardless .
LanguedocFox Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 So the fact I've tried to get away tickets but can't so I do the next best thing and pay £37 to enable me to watch away games rather than listen to radio or sit scrolling through Sky Sports updates, if that makes me a cvnt then I hold my hands up and admit to being one however, I do have considerably more money to spend I'm an even bigger cvnt because I live in France and can only get to a couple of games a season. Reaper87: any chance you can PM me with the details of the package you have? Ta.
Dan Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 It'll be great when the Premier League realise that money isn't the be all and end all for this league. We constantly blow any other league in the world out of the water yet still don't have a league that is even close to being outstanding.
wattolcfc Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 I've just subscribed to a VPN and beIN sports for the year. Altogether costing me around £7 a month. You get 16HD channels and can even view on your tablet or smartphone. I stream all my games to my Apple TV so I can watch them on the big screen. They show ALL premier league fixtures, some FA cup and league cup games too, not to mention all the other top leagues and other sports such as Rugby. BARGAIN!
MPH Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Funny how this subject has just come to light when i've been scouring the web to find a pay per view website to watch LEICESTER CITY FC. (not interested in streams) The fabulous attacking play by the Foxes prompted me to conduct this search. Couple of Beers - Say no more. Is this a runner or will it fail at the start? They do it in the states. One channel shows. A game live and all the other games are shown on their website. You go to the nbcsports website, select your tv provider use your tv provider log in details and watch the game. It's HDTV quality and never freezes. I haven't missed a Leicester game all season.
