Criminal he - or even Knockaert - didn't start last week in my opinion. He look good when he came on as well which made it even more infuriating he wasn't on the pitch from kick off. I can't for the life of me understand why Pearson started an out form player in Vardy out of position. I hope for his sake and Vardy's he doesn't do the same today as disgruntled fans will be an understatement.

Playing Hammond seems to work, we have a better record with him in the team, yes Cambiasso is much the better player, but stats don't lie. Trying something new, in a game we have to basically win, is too risky for my liking. Cambiasso isn't disciplined enough to play as a DM. I said this in another thread but he likes to get forward more than people think and that leaves us a little exposed because he hasn't got the speed anymore to get back. He might've got away with it at Inter where they were 90% of the time on the front foot but not here. He can certainly be an asset for us though. DM has always been his position, it's the position he knows the position I guess he feels most comfortable in. Doubt we will go changing things this late into his career.

De Laet Was Wes Simpson Mahrez James Cambiasso Schlupp Kramaric Ulloa Hamer, I believe, is our best shot stopper even when you throw kasper into the mix. He distribution is sh*t but I don't think he deserves to be dropped. And I think Mark could have done better for the second goal last week. Why do we not use De Laet at right back and Simpson at left back? De Laet will push on and work the over lap and simpson doesn't. If simspons Wants to sit and tuck in he can do that from left back. At least De Laet offers an outlet, especially now Mahrez is back who we all know likes to cut inside. De Laet provided that width and extra pace which I think works well. Finally defensively I don't think he's that much weaker if at all than Simpson. So glad Matty James is back. He'd be one of the first names on my team sheet. Cambi and Dean have been 2 of our better performers this season but wouldn't start with both as there both CDMs. Don't want to slag vardy off so I'll just drop him. Just not his season. Slightly harsh on nuge not to make the 11 but when u pay that much money on players you have to start them. Final point, very disppapointed with drinkwater. Out of all the players from out squad last year I though he'd find the jump from the championship to the prem the most comfortable. Clearly this is not the case.
RedSoxUK Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 James / Cambiasso in the middle. James has to hang back, he's shocking on the ball in the final third and isn't as creative as Cambiasso. Although Cambi is your typical DM 5/6 years ago, Inter did utilise him as an attacking midfielder and he'd score quite a few and create a few, i'd like to see Cambiasso pushed further up.

Agree with this. I think those two getting service from Allbrighton for 90 mins would be a positive attacking move. Please no Konch today. Stick with Simpson and De Laet as the full backs.

Fox Ulike Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Decent line up today. Wingers on the wings, a defensive midfielder and a number 10. Its not rocket science... Col is right that its utterly bizarre to have a £9m reserve but weneed nugent in there.
