fleckneymike Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Took it in the manner of a man who'd just scaled the side of the Eiger before kicking it.
Deucalion Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Took it in the manner of a man who'd just scaled the side of the Eiger before kicking it. Not 'Eye of the Eiger' then ?? Maybe he just needs a little alp from the coaches?
Leicester Lass Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Because everyone else in the squad is really good at corners aren't they...
Guest ttfn Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Will probably give up my season ticket if I see him take another. Shit football i can take. Vardy taking corners is taking the piss.
fleckneymike Posted 31 January 2015 Author Posted 31 January 2015 I think people are reading too much into this, merely an observation on one of the most anticlimatic yet hilarious corners I've ever seen.
TOMBlcfc Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Cambiasso's before the goal was decent though. Of course i'm easily impressed nowadays, i see it as a rarity for anyone to be able to beat the first man. But back to Vardy's, yes it was diabolical, nearly didn't even reach the box!
jammie82uk Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 I think people are reading too much into this, merely an observation on one of the most anticlimatic yet hilarious corners I've ever seen. I take it You don't watch a lot of football then
fleckneymike Posted 31 January 2015 Author Posted 31 January 2015 I take it You don't watch a lot of football then Name me a more humourous or anticlimatic city corner and I'll bow to your superior footballing knowledge.

Portsmouth away back in the early 90s. Simon Grayson was sub so running up and down the touchline. We won a corner and someone kicked the ball out to the flag before any of our players got there. Simon Grayson picks the ball up, drops it by the flag and puts both hands up to indicate where he was going to put the corner. You had to be there.

peach0000 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Against spurs vardy took a corner which was good
Danizen Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 You don't have to be a specialist. It's not that difficult to found the penalty spot with a quick corner even if you don't necessarily find a team mate. I cannot understand how so many pros (not just Leicester players) fail to beat the first man. Then there's Iago Aspas:
Unabomber Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 wtf man why would you seriously start a thread on this amidst a relegation battle? We have bigger fish to fry than Vardy's ****ing corner man, grow a pair get behind the team and lets stay the **** up. Less of this absolute bullshit man come on!

It's indicative of poor preparation when you've got your least technically proficient player on set pieces.

Guest ttfn Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Nige clearly doesn't give a shit any more. Come on you know I'm not saying that.
StanSP Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 It's akin to Phil Jones taking corners for Utd in one of their games recently
Corky Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Come on you know I'm not saying that. Yeah I know. I just think he is just trying out different takers in case one actually creates something from one.
Guest ttfn Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Yeah I know. I just think he is just trying out different takers in case one actually creates something from one. I honestly think Wasyl would take a better corner than Vardy. He'd be 9th or 10th on my list of corner takers in the starting XI today and about 20th overall in the squad. It's disappointing and shows a lack of care.
MooseBreath Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 The number of times our corners fail to beat the first man is terrifying. I think I could beat the first man more regularly than do our team.
Fox92 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Why is Vardy taking corners anyway? But yeah I agree it was embarrassing, mind you, so are 99% of our corners.
