Why is Vardy taking corners anyway? But yeah I agree it was embarrassing, mind you, so are 99% of our corners.

Can only assume there's been practice at them on training ground and he was fairly decent. Same with Phil Jones taking them for Man U recently.

The number of times our corners fail to beat the first man is terrifying. I think I could beat the first man more regularly than do our team.

As a fan you sometimes find yourself saying I could have scored that or I could have cleared that

when perhaps you couldn't. What I do know however is that I can kick a ball into the 18 yard box

from the corner flag whilst avoiding the guy on the near post. It's not a difficult skill and I'm amazed

so many professionals seem unable to do it.

Against spurs vardy took a corner which was good

You can walk over to your local park on a Sunday morning and see 45 year old pot belly blokes (pissed up from the night before) taking decent corner kicks!!.... Vardy is a full time professional earning God knows how much a week to kick a ball properly!... Corner kicks are just the basics for Christ's sake!!

If anyone was watching on the stream you would have noticed too that we won a corner at end of thre first half and the camera panned on Vardy who was clearly gesturing to someone that he knew his corner were awful and he asked them to take it....not exactly running high on confidence!

its getting to the point where the corner taker should just tap it out of play for a defending throw in and set up to try and regain attacking possession.

I went to see a non league game in the 7th tier in the week and their corners hit the penalty spot every time. Its embarassing none of our players can put in a decent delivery consistantly.

How many times have we nearly conceded from our own attacking set pieces, we really need to sort it out,

It is also bizarre that in one game we took a few short corners and created a goal and another good chance, we create very little from traditional corners, so why do we persist with it, take a few short ones mix it up get bodies out the box and don't give the ball away.

I thought that as professional footballers all they have to do all day is practise playing football.

I suggest that the whole squad should spend one day a month practising the simple skill of taking a corner.

94% of the corners I take reach heading height in the danger zone so it's quite baffling to see pro's take so many woeful corners.

It obviously isn't as easy as it looks as so many professionals seem incapable of taking a decent one. All I was saying was that Vardy took what I considered a very dangerous looking corner against Spurs, something that the other 'corner takers' didn't so for me when I saw him standing over the corner I wasn't asking why but accepting it based on his one previous corner.
