yorkie1999 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Stats show just how useless our midfield seem to be at allowing oppositions to run straight through them.
Fox92 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Stats show just how useless our midfield seem to be at allowing oppositions to run straight through them. And those stats wouldn't be wrong.
cc_star Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Stats show just how useless our midfield seem to be at allowing oppositions to run straight through them. Midfield, I'd say it's more tactics A CDM is a key position in this league, we're attempting to play much like we did last year... take our game to the opposition and more often than not it doesn't come off If Hammond or maybe even Hammond +1, was tasked with covering the defence things may be different... and what that formation lacks in attacking strength is made up with attacking fullbacks
cc_star Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Those stats show we'd be even further in the shit were it not for Big Wes... who has become everyone's punchbag of the month for some reason (yes, there was a poor performance Vs Liverpool (H)) and also RDL can be more effective than Simpson.... which is where I think his errors were often down to lack of cover
Cat Burger Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 None of our CMs are particularly athletic and their ball retention needs to improve...All defenders will make mistakes if they are bombarded. I think Was and Wes have done pretty well this season considering how much they've had to deal with. As has been said. The lack of a strong and pacey CDM really shows when we are up against teams who spend a lot of time attacking.

Crinklyfox Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Stats dont show game changing errorsSo right. We're in our current position for several reasons, but one is the succession of soft goals we gave away in November and December.
Fatbloke Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 No great shock there, Konch is a very good player !!!
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Stats show just how useless our midfield seem to be at allowing oppositions to run straight through them. Now there's a shock!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Stats show just how useless our midfield seem to be at allowing oppositions to run straight through them. This has been happening all season.
DB11 Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Morgan seems to be at best unlucky and, at worst, an error-prone liability. I'd like to see Huth replace Morgan.
Bagworthblue Posted 4 February 2015 Posted 4 February 2015 Most of those stats are volume not percentage based. Based on this, Huth's stats will improve dramatically when he plays for Leicester. The more shit gets thrown at you the more you smell of shit !!
