Jon the Hat Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 We've all been there, sometime you need your dad to tell you not to be an idiot.
Guest Cujek Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Here's a explanation. Rob Dorsett is a shit stirring cvnt. This is all there is to it, close thread.
cc_star Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 It's odd that one would sack and another would re-instate. Surely everyone would have to agree before a decision is made either way? If indeed what Lineker says has happened (surely it must have, or else he wouldn't have said it) it makes the Srivaddhanaprabha's look a bit Leeds, or Forest in the amateurish owner stakes
ADK Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Farce. I don't see how Pearson can continue as manager after this and surely if you were Pearson you would be on the blower to QPR and various Championship clubs to arrange your next job rather than wait to be booted out once we've found a replacement.
st albans fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 What about the rumours this morning that none of the back room staff would take the team on Tuesday? That might cause you to backtrack quite sharpish? Maybe he was sacked from Thailand but top had to re instate him when he found no one to take charge against arsenal? Farce. I don't see how Pearson can continue as manager after this and surely if you were Pearson you would be on the blower to QPR and various Championship clubs to arrange your next job rather than wait to be booted out once we've found a replacement. Not on the contract he is!

Frost Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 It seems likely given the tweets from Lineker that this shout was pretty much on the money, one way or another. Anyway, I'm glad he's still here but the footballing spotlight us upon us for the farcical way this has been handled. Absolute shambles from the top, no pun intended. I'd assume he'll be manager for the foreseeable future given the drama of basically re-appointing him.
Eddy Kellys Heroes Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Sounds like he was sacked by one of the Thai's and then reinstated by another....... As much was said on Talksport this afternoon.
Greatness_Since_1884 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I'm sorry but I refuse to believe that Vichai/Top sacked Pearson without discussing it with the other. The way they have run the club thus far makes it seem inconceivable that that breakdown in communication would happen. One of them wanted him sacked and the other didn't and they talked it through, fine that's believable. But I don't believe this sacking/re-hiring farce
stingray Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 sacked and then non-sacked according to Mail. It's an utter farce http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2945718/Nigel-Pearson-Leicester-City-press-conference-LIVE-Foxes-boss-speaks-sack-claims-James-McArthur-incident.html
MHC Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Gary Lineker probably has it spot on. Maybe Top sacked Pearson without consulting his father and Vichai has probably reinstated Pearson from overseas.
funkyrobot Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I've seen in quotes from club and now manager that the commitment to Pearson and vice versa appears only to cover the Arsenal game. I wonder whether there'll be a mutual parting of the ways after this game? I hope not but if the whole management team were sacked and reinstated then maybe NP and his team are staying for this one game as a show of loyalty to their players before leaving, having been hung out to dry by one of the owners (daddy). Hope not, I really want NP to stay, but in his position and presumably with no money worries, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't walk out of pride.

Nothing about them suggests they would mis-communicate like this.
Vlad the Fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 People need to stop looking at the rumours and assumptions, lineker might be right, he might be guessing like the rest of us but to say the clubs is looking farcical is stretching it a bit. Looking at the facts that we know, ie. Pearson is still in a job after all this, it's most definately sky that are looking farcical, it's not the first time something similar has happened like this with sky, the clamour to be first to something often catches the early bird out. What we have here is a situation where all the anti Pearson brigade are using it to try and discredit him while those who want him to stay are just happy he's still here. We may find out what's gone on we may not, Pearson may be sacked Wednesday morning he may make it to the end of the season. But to say the club is a laughing stock because of a major **** up by news outlets and media channels is wrong, at the moment the only clear **** up I can see is by sky and those that followed.
Deucalion Posted 10 February 2015 Author Posted 10 February 2015 If this does turn out to be the case, then the OP (me) was almost spot on with his 'complete speculation'. Well, if you don't blow your own trumpet then who will ?? According to the Independent, Vichai was at the game on Saturday, so that part of the speculation was wrong. Also, if Vichai is here, why is Susan Wheelan in Bangkok? Either she is talking to sleeping partners or it's something else Sky got wrong. http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/premier-league/nigel-pearson-hits-back-at-gary-lineker-i-pay-my-tax-bills-30978873.html? Or did they get it wrong? With Vichai being in the UK, which is unusual, and Pearson's continued spatt with Lineker, which appears very unwise under the circumstances, I am wondering whether Pearson will be gone tomorrow morning regardless of the result tonight. Pearson says he has loyalty to the owners. Would this include taking the team against Arsenal even though he knows he is a gonner? Another explanation is the Lineker reads Foxestalk !!
