Nick Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Looks to me like Pearson has told the club he wants to move on but they've managed to convince him to stay until they've sorted a replacement out QPR?
MrSpaM Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 QPR? Honestly wouldn't surprise me at this point, I can't think of any other reason Pearson and his backroom staff would think they were leaving, for the club to turn around 4 hours later and say they aren't.
Spanner73 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I feel This is just a matter of time now sky don't get it wrong as Dorset says the initial correspondence was from a very reliable source only my guess is tomorrow's game has come too early my guess is it's been leaked and was most likely to be done after the arsenal game it's only a matter of time now !
Fox92 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 It's got to be a trusted source otherwise they wouldn't announce it. We're not talking about some backstreet company here, we're talking about a media giant. These Sky Sources are usually accurate. It does all seem strange though. Maybe Pearson's job was under review. Dorsett spoke about Pearson maybe getting sacked then the owners have a change of mind but Pearson isn't the type of person to take his job back when he's been sacked earlier.
Babylon Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Source: "Hi Rob, thought I'd let you know Pearson is in with the owners now. It's not looking good for him". Rob: "Is he being sacked" Source: "Well it looks that way" SKY SPORTS BREAKING NEWS: LEICESTER SACK PEARSON Source: "Err Rob, they are out of their meeting and the owners have accepted Pearson's answers to their questions. Looks like he could be staying after all" Rob: "Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.... delete delete delete, pretend it never happened". National media: "Shiiiiiiiit... lets come up with a story blaming Leicester so we don't all look like muppets for believing Sky"
mhs123 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 "the former Southampton and Hull City manager was lead to believe his time was up in the East Midlands, only for the Foxes to later release a statement confirming he will be in charge for the visit to Arsenal tomorrow night" .. "According to reports elsewhere in the media, however, it is believed that Pearson was summoned to a meeting with the board following their 15th loss of the season to Alan Pardew's Eagles." http://ind.pn/191rhLb looks like he was sacked - an then something changed their mindss. seems to be more here than meets the eye

Babylon Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I don't think so Thanks for the contribution spanner.
Vlad the Fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Dorset can say what he wants he got it horribly wrong, his source was wrong and as such his report was wrong. Even if Pearson goes Wednesday morning he still got this wrong, regardless of what he was told yesterday Pearson hasn't been sacked, at the moment, so; Dorset is wrong, wrong, wrong. Check your sources You ain't got no resources. Pearson ain't gone, gone, gone, Not yet anyway. Sorry.
v6rat Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I don't believe that this is just somebody coming out with bullshit and Dorset has been taken in by it. Sky would certainly want strong evidence before blazing news of this nature across their website. My money is on it was leaked before maybe they had notified Pearson of their decision and didn't want him to find out from Sky news. If things don't go well at Arsenal tomorrow, then Wednesday will be interesting.

Nick Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Sounds like he was sacked by one of the Thai's and then reinstated by another.......
stuartn27 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Laughing stock now Just sack him and maybe we can save our season In Nigel we are doomed
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Lineker blows the cover... Gary Lineker @GaryLineker 21m21 minutes ago Ah Nigel Pearson is blaming MOTD for making a mountain out of a molehill. We'd best be careful in future, the fella can look after himself. Paul McCarthy @PaulMcCarthy66 14m14 minutes ago @GaryLineker Yes, but are you a fountain of knowledge Gary LinekerVerified account @GaryLineker .@PaulMcCarthy66 if I was I'd tell you that he was sacked by one of the owners' family and reinstated by another, but then I'm not.
Jon the Hat Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Surely no one could overrule the Chairman if such circumstances were to arise?
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Top did the sacking, Vichai the re-instating I'd imagine. Leaves an interesting working relationship between Top and Pearson I'd imagine.
cc_star Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Surely no one could overrule the Chairman if such circumstances were to arise? What's the structure Vichai > Top.... or Top > Vichai
GingerrrFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I think if there is an ounce of truth in that it would be that Top is very here and now in decision making and is dead set on us avoiding relegation whereas Vichai can see the bigger picture and has respect and loyalty to Nigel for his achievements since he returned to the club.
Corky Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 It's odd that one would sack and another would re-instate. Surely everyone would have to agree before a decision is made either way?
Babylon Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 What's the structure Vichai > Top.... or Top > Vichai You also have another son, Apichet who is on the board.
Deucalion Posted 9 February 2015 Author Posted 9 February 2015 Maybe Top thought his old man would agree and he didn't. The rubber stamp Top was expecting from Bangkok was not forthcoming. There's something at the back of my mind about Vichai coming out of the woodwork before and overrulling Top, but I can't quite recall the details, I can just remember Top looking suitably chastened.
