Harry - LCFC Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 FFS man. The question, as barmy as it is, is specifically designed to be devoid of nuance otherwise what is already a pretty ****ing stupid question just become even more so. What do you want, a week by week breakdown of the imaginary scenarios? I'm merely pointing out that I would not be going for A every time. I would on most occasions but not all. If I'm being pedantic by pointing this out then so be it, I'm adamant I'm correct though.
inckley fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 B easily - Look around at what else is out there and we've got excellent owners who I'd definitely trust the future of my club to. Survival for one season isn't important, long term stability as a prem side is what matters. What on earth makes you believe Pearson can build a Premier League side and keep a side there in the long-term? There's nothing to back that up with whatsoever. If we appointed Ian Holloway, Owen Coyle or Nigel Adkins there'd be no less a reason to believe he could achieve that aim.
Guest MattP Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 That's as flawed as the main poll because we don't know who we'd be getting. Most of me wants to say A, but then I look at Allam, Tan and Fawaz and weep. That's exactly what I was trying to prove by asking the question
fleckneymike Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Completely wrong, I just tried to write it in an easy to understand way and should probably have elaborated. But what many people have set is what I was getting at - i.e. either short-term and possibly unsustainable quick fix, or long-term consolidation and planning So actually you wanted to write a question where the answer had to be keep Pearson, because in your imaginary world we'd stay up with some jammy bastard who'd then proceed to **** things right up, whilst old weetabix hair would heroically relegate us only to return the following season before embarking on a 20 year unbeaten run. Brilliant poll this.
inckley fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 B, we have one of the best / most sensible owners in the Premier league by my reckoning And where, compared to all of those other owners, has it got them? I like the owners, but what happened on Sunday was far from sensible.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 If I'm honest the Premier League really isn't all it's cracked up to be and the all of the shit sideways football on the halfway line that teams play is boring as. Having said that, watching Bolton last week and seeing Rotherham et al on the FLS really drills home the fact that I don't want to be returning back there either
Mark_w Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 That's exactly what I was trying to prove by asking the question In that case well played sir, apologies.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I put stay up but since Nige is the only one who can do it it's kinda pointless
SecretPro Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Wow. Just wow. There really are some delusional creep ****ing cultist weirdos on here. I put stay up but since Nige is the only one who can do it it's kinda pointless Source please.

The fact that you have that avatar and name says it all really. What ambition you have sir.
inckley fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 2008-09 Yes, now I wonder what the obvious flaw with that argument is. Firstly, that you're saying one season in the third tier gives us more information about his ability in the second tier than the 5+ he spent managing in the second. Secondly, that you're comparing staying up in the Championship (which he did do, and very well) with staying up in the Premier League (which he's currently failing miserably at, and has never previously succeeded at - whereas he had previously kept a side in the Championship). Thirdly, that the whole problem appears to be that he's a decent Championship manager who can't handle the step up to the Premier League. Like most other before him. So the point is that his successes in the lower league haven't translated to doing well in the top tier. Giving me more evidence that he was good at a lower level hardly changes that.

Sharpe's Fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Source please. Since I have neither a time machine or a trans-dimensional device in which I can see the multiple scenarios play out we'll just say your a dickbag and leave it at that.
inckley fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I put stay up but since Nige is the only one who can do it it's kinda pointless How could you possibly know that? I, for example, know that I can't guarantee he wouldn't keep us up if he stayed. I have no idea how so many people on the other side of the argument are so certain that no other manager will do better than him.
SecretPro Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Since I have neither a time machine or a trans-dimensional device in which I can see the multiple scenarios play out we'll just say your a dickbag and leave it at that. Personal abuse. Well done. Silly to say 'nobody else can do it'. How does anybody on this earth know that? Blind loyalty clouding the facts.

Are people really this dense?

Arriba Los Zorros Posted 9 February 2015 Author Posted 9 February 2015 Since I have neither a time machine or a trans-dimensional device in which I can see the multiple scenarios play out we'll just say your a dickbag and leave it at that. I had to rep this, not because I appreciate name calling, but the name itself is quality, up there with 'shitwobble' for me!!
Sharpe's Fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Personal abuse. Well done. Silly to say 'nobody else can do it'. How does anybody on this earth know that? Blind loyalty clouding the facts. Since your into sources I thought I would attach some quotes supporting my hypothesis that you are a dickbag. "Yeah he's a funny guy when he's not being an arrogant, bullish, self indulgent ****." "There really are some delusional creep ****ing cultist weirdos on here." "The fact that you have that avatar and name says it all really. What ambition you have sir." And my personal favourite: "...makes me want to kill my wife"
Corky Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I don't really care, apparently according to the realistic fans we'll be absolutely fine without Pearson so whatever happens we'll be a better club after he's gone.
Stadt Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Nigel Pearson is 6'1 and 90kg you'll do what he says

"The fact that you have that avatar and name says it all really. What ambition you have sir." And my personal favourite: "...makes me want to kill my wife" You spend your Monday night trawling my posts and I'm a dickbag. The Irony. What a sad act you are, it's a shame because before this I thought you were one of the decent ones. Pearsonites on here make just as many unsubstantiated ludicrous claims as the Pearson out's, it's just they all seem to believe there own drivel more. The fact that this thread even exists supports that.
inckley fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I can't mate it's called having a firm opinion. Are people really this dense? Well, you see, the mistake you made there was stating it as a fact!
Larry_LCFC Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I think the fact that 84% want to stay up without Pearson demonstrates what a strange bunch of fickle fans we have. Yesterday the forum goes into a nuclear meltdown when Pearson "gets sacked" and yet people would rather stay up without him. How does that even make sense. News flash people, 9 points from the last 57 isn't survival form. We are going down quicker than the titanic on ice at this rate. Can't have your cake and eat it!
