cityfanlee23 Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 Might aswell do the strikers as i've done the Midfield, Defence and goalkeeper stats.again just to reiterate that obviously this won't determine which of our strikers is the better "striker"All have different roles within the squad, and if they played eachothers roles the outcome may be different, so this will be an effective tool just to see who is the most influential player in our strike force. (again these stats are per 90 minutes, which allows me to put kramaric in there and be a bit fairer - His stats will obviously dramatically change as he plays more games, however we will be able to see what sort of impact he's made thus far in his bedding in period)Total forward passesKramaric - 8.27Nugent - 17.27Vardy - 9.14Ulloa - 16.07Total Backward PassesKramaric - 18.37Nugent - 14.08Vardy - 8.63Ulloa - 17.14As a forward, passing back is normally the only way they can pass, however we do pass backwards a hell of a lot during a match, take them on a bit more? Quite wasteful really, especially considering players like Nugent and Ulloa find themselves picking up the ball in midfield, which is not a good place to put a stray pass in.Assists - DisgustingKramaric - 0 (let him off this one after 4 games)Nugent - 0.07Vardy - 0.22 (star man averages 1 assist every 4/5 games)Ulloa - 0.06Chances created - Just as badKramaric - 0 (again cant really comment so far)Nugent - 1.00Vardy - 1.29Ulloa - 1.36 playing 2 strikers we average around 2 chances per 90 minutes..... cc_star Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 Looking at Ulloa's 'Aerial duels won' stat, it's quite frankly bizarre Albrighton and his crossing ability hasn't been played more... and when Albrighton does get on, Ulloa is often subbed meaning Albrighton is crossing to players who aren't likely to win headers. No surprise Nugent comes out on top of overall stats, the team performance as a whole has generally been improved with him on the pitch (others tend to have a bit more tempo about them) despite his individual weakness in front of goal BTW - Great series of posts, Mahrez, Schlupp, Albrighton & Knockaert next?
cityfanlee23 Posted 12 February 2015 Author Posted 12 February 2015 How can you still not spell aerial after 2 threads taking the piss? Didn't even notice i'd done it or i'd have changed it! eyes have gone square!
lgfualol Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 Really expected more from Vardy and Nugent before the season. Conclusion: Don't play Vardy again, keep Ulloa and Kramaric fit. Kevin Phillips should do a better job getting them to actually shoot and shoot on target.
Banks Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 Conclusion: Ulloa has been shite since late September, Vardy and Nugent haven't been great, Kramaric is our only hope.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 What a load of rubbish! Bending the stats to make Kramaric our best striker after just three matches I think. There's only one stat needed to show who's been our best striker this year when on the whole everyone's been pretty poor: goals.

Not eye opening at all they read exactly as I would expect. Good point about the midfield though it does still amaze me people have blamed that department with missed chances and defensive mistakes present in nearly every game.
LAprice_ Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 Isn't Chris Wood on about 0.65 goals per 90 minutes in the league? He's not played a full game in the PremierLeague this season but it'll be interesting to note how his many cameo roles compare
