Webbo Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Not having a go. Serious question Have we sold a player for a decent profit under nigel? We've not needed to sell in his second stint at least. In his first stint Mattock went for over a million.
Aus Fox Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Were not and don't need to be a selling club. But if we were Mahrez, Vardy, James, Kasper would all go for profit. Possibly Others too. Players like Morgan we bought in their prime for a decent price and will not now get a resale value as they are on a downward slide.
LCFCtotheprem Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Pearson hasn't really sold any of the players he could make a profit on. Mahrez bought for under 1 million, now worth a lot more. Schlupp and Moore both been developed and would be worth a few mil each. Vardy would be worth more than 1 million.
Danno Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Most of his signings apart from Ulloa, Wood, Upson and Kramaric would go for more than we bought them for imo.
Donut Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 We havent, but then again, he havent had to. But should we have needed to, we have developed a number of players under Pearson, and sadly, its likely some of them will now leave too.
milsey Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Sold max gradel for peanuts, now look at him! I'd love to see him in a city shirt again! Remember thinking we'd ****ed up when we let him go.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Most of his signings apart from Ulloa, Wood, Upson and Kramaric would go for more than we bought them for imo. Wood was about £1m-£1.25 with add ons, they'd get their money back on him plus a bit more Upson was a free so they wouldn't lose out on fees Kramaric wouldn't be sold on for less than we paid for him We'd make a loss on Ulloa but not a huge one though Marshall went for a profit. And the £500k they made on Marshall was reinvested in £350k for Mahrez - and we'll make a juicy profit on him. As others have stated, we've not really had to sell in NP's second spell and there won't be many of his signings who we make a loss on. In fact, we'd make a profit on almost all so he deserves credit for that. I wonder how many of Martin O'Neill's signings we made a profit on? Not that many I suspect. Lennon springs to mind but can't think of loads.
Dan Posted 25 March 2015 Posted 25 March 2015 Christ I forgot all about Ben Marshall. He was a real disappointment. Was expecting a lot better.
STUHILL Posted 25 March 2015 Posted 25 March 2015 Christ I forgot all about Ben Marshall. He was a real disappointment. Was expecting a lot better. Same here! He was home sick and wanted to move and he was too up and down for us which I think is a trend continuing at Blackburn with some wonder goals mixed with very average performances.
