Time of our Lives - Leicester

Recommended Posts

He made the same comment 2 or 3 times about other players, Claridge included. The bloke thinks a lot of himself, I wouldn't be shocked if that's actually what he thought!

I know he thinks a lot of himself, but he didn't come across as overly arrogant to be honest.

Saying he made 3 players a Leicester legend by passing to them could be taken as being 'overly arrogant'. Only he will know if he really means it or not though.

To be fair the pass for Izzet in the play-off final was superb :D

Played in Football Aid at the Walkers this May and whereas as Izzet turned up thirty minutes before...Walsh turned up ten minutes after and the first thing he did was buy himself a pint. Thankfully, Muzzy was a super lad - played a half for each team and was cracking in the changing rooms. Basically, the bloke's a nob....but he did a lot for us.

Steve Walsh was not being arrogant it was just banter between old football friends.

Bloody hell, why are people complaining about legends in yesteryears before the MON period and complaining about Walshy being arrogant? Give it a rest. it was a programme about THEM so they are obviously going to talk about themselves and their best footballing years at the club.

Like fox you forest said I think you're all missing the point of the programme.

I personally thought it was a bloody good watch from a period which probably means the most to me yet people can't watch it for what it was.

My only note was that Muzzy didn't get much speaking time but he came across as a bit of a quieter character. Stelling even made his best efforts to keep him involved :D

I thought Steve Walsh came across as a bit of a nob! He tried to make everything about him. Telling Muzzy 'I made you a hero' because of a pass he made to him!?! Get real Walshy.

I knew before I even read this thread that Steve Walsh would be slagged off by people on this forum, the man is a legend and all you lot who slate him are **** nobodys. If you slag of walshie you cant be a Leicester fan or maybe your about 12 years old?

I think you need to learn when to have a sense of humour, he was obviously just having a bit of banter with his mates same as I would after a half decent showing at 5's or whatever.

No your right..... I'm a 12 year old Grimsby fan. I wondered how long it would be before somebody clicked on! Good work :whistle:

Or....

Try reading the posts I made after this where I credited Walsh as a ''Great player, great servant to the club''. After the numerous times I've had any contact with Steve Walsh, he has done enough to strike me as arrogant and full of himself, and in my humble opinion that showed again last night.

There's banter and then there's trying to relate everything back to yourself e.g when talking about Leicester in general at Highbury and Walsh had to slip in that he came on as a sub at 5-0 and it finished 6-1 so he improved the team etc, blaming Keller for his 30 yard OG, the list goes on......

Great servant to City he was indeed but its common knowledge that Walshy is a bit of a knob. Im way older than 12 for the record.

Get over it, the bloke deserves to be arrogant (even though most of us don't think he was being arrogant at all!!) given the service he's gave to this club. There are not enough characters left in the game and thank god there are people like Walshie still around.

You do realise it's quite possible to love the bloke as a Leicester legend, but to also think that as a human being... he's a bit of a tit?

Well i'd say going off this thread it's a about half and half.

Give up pal. I don't know what tinted specs you were wearing during the programme but he didn't come across like that at all. It was banter for christs sake.

Once again are you just dumb or can't you see the point of the programme? It was about THEM (YES THEM) so they were talking about themselves. I actually chuckled when walsh was saying "I made you a hero" as it was obviously banter that had spilled over from all those years they used to spend in the changing room. That's what made that team so great.
