Not too bothered that we didn't get him but would have certainly added depth to the wide midfield area, especially right midfield. Hopefully NP and his team will have another player lined up as it's the one area that we really need to improve the depth in.

That's what I would assume to, but then the club obviously had a reason. They obviously think we do need him or they wouldn't want to take the financial gamble. Either they are confident enough of going up to risk it or they felt like throwing a spanner in the works for QPR.

NP did allude to Rob Dorsett he only wanted to sign players good enough for the prem, so he obviously fits the bill exciting times for City!

fair enough. Just doesn't seem like an NP signing, and drinkwater, james, hammond and king have done nothing wrong so don't IMO deserve to be replaced.
