Stevosevic Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Stumbled along James Scowcrofts Facebook page, and there are comments on there from Alan Shush!, oh yes Shush! says, in numerous posts, "needed to get outta leicester" "turned down deal at leicester, wanna leave for sure" "yeah, outta contract, offered me a three year deal but had a few arguments wit people there so needed ta go really" "there waz a few, but was there a while. hope they don't go down tho" So there you go, hes leaving, although we knew that before, we now know why, sort of... EDIT: Scowcroft says he next wants to travel to Leicester, and his favourite place is Leicester. Scowcroft's Facebook If your in Leicester network you can view easily.

Ah, the Foxestalk equivalant of dumping a ton of pertrol on a forest fire.
Fat Ron Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Did you happen to notice if Shush! had a friend called Thracian?
Thracian Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Ah, the Foxestalk equivalant of dumping a ton of pertrol on a forest fire. The line's been drawn. I'm more concerned now that we don't lose others for the same reasons.
Fat Ron Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 The line's been drawn. I'm more concerned now that we don't lose others for the same reasons. We are losing players cause they have james Scowcroft as a friend on Facebook...? what a crazy world we live in..
Mark Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Sheehan/Mattock out, Clarke/Clapham in. Things never change at Leicester despite how low we sink.
Tilley Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Sheehan/Mattock out, Clarke/Clapham in. Things never change at Leicester despite how low we sink. Yep. I agree. Not getting into Shush! again because there isn't any point but I think Mattock should stay for two more seasons here instead of doing a Theo Walcott so to speak and moving to early.
The People's Hero Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Sheehan/Mattock out, Clarke/Clapham in. Things never change at Leicester despite how low we sink. Whilst I agree... Shush!'s attitude clearly left a LOT to be desired and I'm not sure that defensively he'll ever the of the requisite quality.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 One thing I will say, openly discussing contract offers and discussing the fact that he casued/was part of unrest at this club on ****ing Facebook really isn't the mark of any type of proffesional.

Agreed, he should keep his mouth shut!! He wouldn't like the club goign around making statements about him!! He wants out, and he got his wish, goodbye and good luck!!

Geo V Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 I dont think we need to panic when it comes to youngsters and Ollie. He has already said he looks forward to working with Gradel in pre-season and a near season on loan to "learn his craft". Im sure he`ll be better for it. We have seen him get Clapham in as a short term fix to help Mattocks development as opposed to hinder. He hasn't gone and got some mid 20s player in or even a Clarkey like MA who still has some good years ahead of him so the Clapham deal was to add much needed experience into a position that we were leaking goals in. Stearman is a younger lad who has kept out about 10 right-backs who are older than him and more experienced whilst he dragged in Alnwick in goal to play at the expense of more experienced options. I think with Ollie will play the kids if he rates them as good enough and all this talk of him going for dads army type players is way off the mark. We have to develop the kids and see if they are up to it as most so far have shown that they are not if we are honest. As for Shush!, I actually think he gets too hard a time and is OK without being amazing. He has the knack of setting up chances and I can picture him creating plenty from set pieces for Howard to be honest. Anyway, I can see why he wants out as we haven't really rated him and havent given him a proper chance so its best for everyone if he moves on and tries to have a career thats more than rotting in the reserves.
The People's Hero Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Looks like Leeds are in luck then. They can have their fill of his 'near things', 'miracles' and (rogue) 'assists'.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 A 'professional' would not spell a simple two letter word wrong either to / ta well.......it is how they say it in Ireland....sort of.
Thracian Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Sheehan/Mattock out, Clarke/Clapham in. Things never change at Leicester despite how low we sink. Absolutely and I think the atmosphere's changing at the club. A friend remarked at the reserves last night that we weren't combative, weren't contesting things like we've done in the past. Attacking though it always was, Beaglehole's team always closed people down quickly and challenged for everything - perfectly fairly but with vigour. Last night's mish-mash delivered the footballing equivalent of an excuse-me-quickstep first half and the smallish gathering of watching Academy lads and former lads didn't seem so chirpy as usual - as if they'd all been silenced by Kishishev's having to run round the pitch on his own for apparently getting wrong side of the rules. Perhaps these things aren't connected but we could have done with Kish's involvement and enthusiasm yesterday when our first half football was just the sort of ailment we suffered from pre-Christmas when our version of the foreign state circus were embarrassing us by losing on a submission to Hinckley Town and Nottingham Forest Reserves. It was hard to believe last night's team was overseen by Gerry Taggart - and he sure got his message across at half-time - but hell we're going to need more backbone than was apparent out there in the future. How we could have done with my old Hinckley Athletic pal Neil Stewart. Fairest player you ever saw but he hit the ball with such intensity he'd have broken any leg that was behind it. A hod carrier by trade he made Roy Keane look gentle and much as I loved us to play with panache "Full-Stop Stewart" was always the first name on the teamsheet and how City could have done with someone like that. Or like Graham Cross and Frank McLintock. Cos the only tackle we'd have won first half last night was fishing tackle in a raffle and I hope that's not going to be symptomatic of our efforts in future and that it doesn't spread to the first team.

Funny that, what with Kishishev supposedly running round the pitch on his own as well due, it's said, to some out of place remark. I suppose he's not very professional either yet he's had a pretty solid career for a bloke from a little country not famed for its footballers. I remember Shush!'s last game for the Reserves. The bloke was immense. And for such a supposed trouble maker he always seemed popular among his on-field colleagues, the team played some smashing football, he was considered right for the captaincy by Beaglehole and always had plenty of pals around him when he watched games from the stand. Since when should reacting to being pissed off be held against anyone? Bottom line is we've lost a talented an effective player and replaced him with Clapham.
Daggers Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Dear Jimmy Saville, I would like you to fix it for me to be able to come onto Foxestalk without having to re-read the same tired arguments and opinions about a player who no longer plays for my club. Assuming that you are still alive, I am even prepared to forgo the medal on the red thread if you chose to invite me onto a show (if you make another one) although I am always happy to sit on your lap. By the way - Jonathan King? Was he really a paedo? Yours, Bob, Disco Jnr

That is all very, very, besides the point, especially the bit about Kishishev, whatever comment he may of made I don't see him rushing off to tell one of the biggest communties on the internet. His performance has nothing to do with it. Jamie Clapham, again, has nothing to do with it. He shouldn't be making things like him turning a contract down due to arguements with others within the club public as he has done. Although I'm quite sure if he set fire to a blind man you'd probable be his defense lawyer so go on, lets hear why he should be allowed to act so unprofessionally.

Im glad we wernt too combative. The club has more pressing matters than a ressie game against the Shrews!! - as if they'd all been silenced by Kishishev's having to run round the pitch on his own for apparently getting wrong side of the rules. How we could have done with my old Hinckley Athletic pal Neil Stewart. Aahhh Yes, Remember him well ... I really do think that you should give Football Manager a try Thrac, it takes you into a World of make believe, its right up your street
Koke Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 I do feel sorry for him though. Whilst I don't think he's anything but a mediocre left back, I do think he's been on the receiving end too many times by a lot of people on this place, and that includes me as well. If Leeds come up, he might turn out to become a decent player in this league. On the other hand, he might not. Whatever he does in the future, I do wish him all the best in his career.
