Bryn Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 I feel sorry for Alan Shush!. I genuinely think opinions of him on here have been ruined by hyperbole from certain quarters. He was by no means a great player but his creativity had it's uses and he was a tidy enough player who seemed so delighted when he scored against Watford, who I think would have been quite dedicated to this club. I think it's about time he went, I think it would probably suit both parties, but I think it's a shame that one of our own young players who for all his faults does possess a rare quality and has contributed things for the club might leave with people calling him a twat or at the least viewing him as something of a joke.
Uncle Albert Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 If he does leave us permanently I think he will be sadly missed. Clapham is joke.
The People's Hero Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 I think it's a sad state of affairs when we're mourning the loss of a defender who can't defend who doesn't want to play for us anymore.
Koke Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 I think it's a sad state of affairs when we're mourning the loss of a defender who can't defend who doesn't want to play for us anymore. It's not really about mourning tbh. It's just I think he does deserve a little respect at least. He's got some unbelievable stick on here, and his crime was? He wasn't the best of players - But we could say that about our entire squad so to speak.
Daggers Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 He shouldn't be making things like him turning a contract down due to arguements with others within the club public as he has done. Although I'm quite sure if he set fire to a blind man you'd probable be his defense lawyer so go on, lets hear why he should be allowed to act so unprofessionally. Gosh. I can scarcely believe it. Shush! is really on Facebook? Well it must be true as Milan has just become my friend and told me something top secret.
lavrentis Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 I looked at James Scowcroft the other day and one thing struck me, he has got rid of his moley moley mole!!!
Tommy G Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 One thing I will say, openly discussing contract offers and discussing the fact that he casued/was part of unrest at this club on ****ing Facebook really isn't the mark of any type of proffesional. Very unprofessional. But then again I do feel a bit sorry for the lad. But don't discuss your future on facebook
Flynny Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Gosh. I can scarcely believe it. Shush! is really on Facebook? Well it must be true as Milan has just become my friend and told me something top secret. Have my babies.
breadandcheese Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 I'm not sure Shush!, or any professional footballer would be quite so daft as to publicise their thoughts on facebook so I would be inclined to believe it is someone else with their own Alan Shush! facebook persona. With regards the whole left-back situation, the curse of the left-back has struck again. It is the one position I would never want to play for Leicester. You could be a cross between Stuart Pearce and Roberto Carlos in their prime, and you'd still get hammered by fans. Shush! is a competent fullback at Championship level. There are worst left-backs in this league, so I'm not going to knock him and say he was never any good when he wants to move for first team football. Equally, Clapham hasn't looked terrible for us. Sure he makes the odd mistake (like all our defenders), but he always seems the most comfortable on the ball out of our back four and is able to calm play down by putting a foot on the ball when the defence is getting a bit hectic. I think Clapham's been a decent acquisition for us. Likewise Mattock. The lad hasn't disgraced himself this season either, so I'd be quite happy going into next season with Clapham and Mattock as our left-backs. Edit: There's me typing a big post out and Disco Bob shows how easy it is to create personas on facebook, thus confirming my thoughts on Shush! publicising his future.
Flynny Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 I like the fact that that almost certainly isn't James Scrowcroft but it probably actually is Alan Shush!. The silly ****.
Joe. Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 I love it how they think nobody has access to any of this. Twat

Fez of Mahrez Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 that's the finest sentence you've ever writen: content, grammar, spelling... There are two T's in written.
Nick Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Gosh. I can scarcely believe it. Shush! is really on Facebook? Well it must be true as Milan has just become my friend and told me something top secret. There are days when I remember what makes this site great.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 that's the finest sentence you've ever writen: content, grammar, spelling... There are two T's in written. Shush! There, knew he'd be usefull for something one day.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Shush! There, knew he'd be usefull for something one day. I'd also like to add that the t on that should have a capital letter. They just don't teach the basics at school anymore.
Sir Alex Ferguson Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 he's not that good so it's not a bad thing really, only thing he did for us was scoring that freekick against Forest...Clapham and Mattock are both better in my opinion
Thracian Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Clapham is much better than Shush! IMO. Clapham's brilliant. I think 10 Clapham's are the way forward. At least as far as the halfway line. We will be impregnable. :scarf:

Thracian Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 he's not that good so it's not a bad thing really, only thing he did for us was scoring that freekick against Forest...Clapham and Mattock are both better in my opinion Of course they are. Fancy me not noticing. If all Shush! did is what you mention why is it that after a full season Mattock has two assists and no goals, Clapham after half a season has no goals and no assists and Shush! for his half season had five assists and two goals. Shush! also remains sixth out of 20 in the list of shot makers and that, again in half a season while Mattock is down at 17th in a full season and Clapham not mentioned at all. Selective memory perhaps?
Manager Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 Claphams a basic left back, which is what this club wanted to get in at short notice. Hopefully he wont be at this club much longer. Replace "Clapham" with "Holloway", "Left Back" with "Manager" and "basic" with "laughable" and I'm on your side - good call Manno! (Can I call you Manno? )

Selective memory perhaps? Calm down i was only saying, i just think Shush! is a bit of a liability and does not make the grade for Leicester. If he was that good surely we would have kept him? no? and what left-backs set up goals...not many, they are there to defend which clearly Shush! is not able to do to a great standard...shush!?!
demon_dog Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 One of the few players I would keep IMO. Good on free kicks and corners, seems to deliver a good ball every time, who else has done that this season?
