Shoddy LCFC

Now I might be being a little pedantic here but I've just received another e-mail from the club informing me of a 'Leicester City Event' at the Walkers on Wednesday 12th March.

The e-mail subject reads 'Sporting Dinner - Staring Liverpool Legend Jan Molby'.

Why would I or anybody else want to go to an event featuring the staring Liverpool legend Jan Molby?

Does he do anything else or does he just stare at people? Does he stare on request?

Supported by Classic Funny Man Jimmy Bright Compared by City's Very Own 'The Birch'?

Compared to what? Obviously it's meant to be 'compered'.

I'm not in the Grammar and Spelling Police and I'm having a bad day but FFS companies, businesses etc should get these things right before they send them out. It just smacks of the shoddiness of this club at the moment.

Now I'm hesitating pressing 'Post New Topic' but hey, LCFC, sort yourselves out from the very top all the way down to the bottom!!

No doubt some people will say that's the least of our problems (and they would have a point) while others will have a go for picking something else to moan about however I would agree with what you're saying.

It IS shoddy and it doesn't reflect well on the club.

I would regard this as further evidence (however small) of a club that really is in a very unhealthy state both on and off the pitch.

You'll probably get a dog's abuse for criticising the club on such a seemingly innocent error but this is a huge bug-bear of mine and I'm right with you on this one. It's needless and sloppy. Sadly it's also commonplace.

At the present time its a minor and irrelevant issue.

But if you feel annoyed by it, I don't blame you. The club is a shambles from top to bottom. However, we got far bigger things to worry about at the moment.

Bloody hell I expected to be 'flamed' by now.

Waits...

It can be arranged.

Guess I don't have to tell you all what my new job is now.

Just another nail in the coffin of what used to be a proud institution run by caring people.

Why is there no price for Worst Marketing Gag in the football league?

I quite agree. I hate it when any professional document of any kind has mistakes on it. Especially these days when you can press a button on a program and it checks for mistakes for you (although I admit, not mistakes like "Compared", but those should be manually proof read anyway). It's like the local paper. Constantly full of mistakes. It's pathetic. These are people who write for a career and still can't do it properly. It's a little more understandable in an article because they probably write loads and rarely make mistakes but on a one off advert it's just unforgivable.

In newspapers I often wonder what the proof readers are doing and at a company like LCFC there should always be checks before something is released. Any doubts and they've got the personnel of the OS site on hand if necessary.

Like others I think it reflects badly on the professionalism of the place. I thought the same when they didn't produce a team-sheet/programme for the first FA Youth Cup game against Blackburn until the match had been going 15 minutes. They knew it didn't go down well because there was a teamsheet available well before the Crystal Palace match a few weeks later.

Little things count, on and off the pitch and that is not meant to be hypercritical.

Generally I've found the service at City, in the ticket office and up in the restaurant, to be excellent, far better in fact than it has sometimes been in the past.

But it does reflect the truth

The thing that annoys me more is when they send me e-mails about "securing my tickets for the next home match" when I have a season ticket!!

They are just making sure.

At the last FCC i mentioned that alot of people thought it was crap(not in so many words!) and the Online shop was crap too.

They said they are in the process of trying to sort it out!!

Looks like they are sorting it out okay then eh???
