  1. Early days I know, but I'd be interested to know what you've seen from the new manager to believe she's still the right appointment. I'm just seeing someone who is ultra negative in her set up, and with a negative mindset. We are far better than what we are showing under this manager, and i feel that the players are being held back from playing their natural game, in order to conform with the managers negative structure and way of playing. I hope she proves me wrong, but I'm not seeing anything so far, to suggest she will do.
  2. Dropped off massively since Kirk. We know they are better than they are showing, we've seen it, but most of the players are a shadow of their former selves. Not helped by the club, who let the Kirk saga drag on for so long without inevitably dismissing him. That it dragged on was maybe out of their control, but they should certainly have been looking for someone to come in as a replacement knowing they were going to have to sack him at the end of it. Instead of that they were happy to let the season fizzle out under the cloud that had been hanging over them. I know little of the manager they have appointed this season, but she seems to have that caution is best philosophy, and it's stifling the players. Her team selections are baffling too. Yes Leitzig made a fantastic save that have us a point, and yes she probably almost single handedly kept us in the division for 2 seasons, but for me, kop is the better keeper. Better with her feet, equally if not better at shot stopping, and better dealing with crosses. Cayman should be starting, and arguably Rose should be starting ahead of Goodwin. I know we are short of strikers, but playing with Ruby Mace as a striker made no sense, then bringing on Pelgander who can't run, to play up front made even less sense. The transfer recruitment in the summer, of which I'm assuming the manager had a big say in, is also looking decidedly poor, and this looks like a very long season ahead for the ladies. Getting Rantala back is essential, also O'Brien should help a bit when back, and if we can get Hannh Cain back to hiw she was before her injury, will also improve us. We need Petermann back, or Draper to be given a chance when she's back, because Mouchon looks about as good and as interested as Soumare in our men's side. Early days, but there are certainly concerns, especially with the manager!
  3. Shocking, worst I've seen them in a long time. Not sure why Kop has been dropped, she is the far better all round keeper. They all seem off it today though, almost like they thought all they had to do is turn up. Credit to Palace though, who despite their lack of quality, have shown a passion and desire, that our girls have been sadly lacking in. Changes should be made at half time, but the manager could literally take any of them off, and they couldn't complain, they have been that poor.
  4. I've seen enough in our positive spells, to suggest that this group of players might just about be good enough to stay up. Unfortunately from what I've witnessed from the manager up to now, in terms of team selections, tactics, in game management, and substitutions, we won't be staying up if he stays in charge for too long.
  5. The guy has no idea. Can't pick a team, his substitutions and in game management is useless, he seemingly can't motivate players into giving a crap. He seems to have a system or structure that he wants to use, but it just looks a mess, and doesn't work, and I dont think the players believe in it either, which makes it worse. He has to go, while we still have some chance of staying up, because I've seen enough now to know we ain't staying up with him in charge.
  6. But plays "I have zero interest in being here Soumare". Incredible!
  7. The funny thing is, although I didn't want Cooper as manager, the one thing I thought he would have as a plus, is that he would give one or two of our talented youngsters some pitch time in the first team, and would have at least one had one on the bench each game, but he seems to have absolutely no interest in our younger players. If someone can tell me how Soumare, who has zero interest in being here, can get on the bench in front of Alves, who will be wanting to play and make his mark, then i would be very interested on the reasoning. Alves is now basically spending his time training, and hoping to get a spot on the bench for a league cup game, when if Cooper had no interest in giving him a chance, he should have been loaned out, and playing league games somewhere. I would be fuming if I was Alves. What a waste of a talent, at least until January.
  8. I also think the reason he hasn't been playing Mavadidi is again because he wants Kristiansen to be bombing on, and his "wide" player to come inside and make the extra man in field, which again is a big change from last season, when our wide players hugged the touch line on both sides to stretch the pitch. Mavadidi has done well when coming on though, so given Cooper something to think about, but i doubt he will change too much. Possibly he might play Mavadidi, drop Kristiansen, and move Justin to the left, and have him do what hes currently doing on the right,, drop Fatawu and play Ricardo and ask him to bomb on, on the right. Again, I want to see both Mavadidi and Fatawu playing, but I'm not convinced that Cooper is going to do that at the moment
  9. Well he was pretty decent as recent as last season. He isn't being picked because the manager wants to play Kristiansen on the left, and have him bombing on, and he thinks that Justin is more suited than Ricardo to coming inside to make the extra body in the middle when the defence has had to shift over to cover Kristiansen. That's how Cooper wants to play. It's a choice, but not one I agree with. How he can leave out probably our best technically gifted player is beyond me, but ultimately he will live and die by his choices, as do all managers.
  10. What is his form, we've hardly seen him to judge. Looked a bit rusty but ok against Tranmere, it was his run into the box that got us the penalty.
  11. The Championship games have never been well attended as i can remember, but certainly back in the 70s, the sunday league games were packed, there would literally be people sat by the rope at the boundarys edge.
  12. Very true, and interestingly his mantra was very much that we had to stay in games, which is much the same as Cooper. It was only when it was shite or bust time in those last 9 games, that he changed the system and let them off the leash, and went for it, which resulted in us winning 7 of the last 9.
  13. Wow! Have we ever started a game with a more negative team.
  14. Rob Tanner on Radio Leicester last night said Bilal El Khannouss would be it, that we will be going with what we have. So if he is right and assuming Cannon moves, we will actually be a striker down from last season and it will be Vardy and Ayew as our striker options.
  15. Maupay is a no from me as well. The point is, along with a KDH replacement, a striker was a priority position, that we needed to spend a fair proportion of our budget on. Instead we have spewed more money on players or positions that were not as important, which is why will probably end up with sodding Maupay or Sargent!
  16. Sargent wouldn't even get us promoted next season if we go down. Midtable championship striker at best. His one prem season he scored 2 goals and 1 assist in 26 games. He's been at Norwich 4 seasons, and had one half decent season, so it's a no from me, but he's just the sort of non striker the club will probably settle on.
  17. Maybe only 2 games and a pre season, but the clock should already be ticking, and hopefully his time at the club is going to be short. He has already shown zero signs that he is able to set us up in a cohesive and competitive way He has shown zero evidence that he even wants or is willing to pick his better players in front of players that will run about a bit! He has shown zero interest in giving any of the youngsters a go, even in pre season friendlies, despite the fairytale of him being "good for the younger players", and helping to develop them. Finally and what should eventually see his demise at the club, so long as the brain farts that run the club can see it early enough (I won't be holding my breath!) he has no coherent plan that will get us even close to 20 points this season.
  18. Just a heads up to anyone who don't know, the u21s on sky sports plus against Burton in the efl Cup, tonight, on the red button.
  19. He's a big smelly pile of poo! In my opinion of course!
  20. My opinion, but while there were numerous reasons for our relegation two seasons ago, I honestly believe that had Ward not been in goal for 28 games we would have stayed up. I don't remember him winning us any points, but I do remember him costing us plenty, with performances that had me scratching my head as how he had ever made it as keeper in the professional game. So the reaction may feel OTT, but after finally feeling that we could leave the nightmare that had been Danny Ward firmly in the past, the concern that we are now seeing him again in our goal, all be it, only in friendlies, is a real one. For me now, we now need to be bringing another keeper, either as number 2 to Mads if he stays, or as a number one, if he goes, in which case we will need to bring two keepers in. I'm not convinced by Iversen, and we just simply can not go into the season with Danny Ward as our number one.
  21. I think Ward is even worse than him! Seen a few awful keepers down here, an overweight Martin Hodge, Mark Grew, Rab Douglas and others, but the only one i think gives Ward a run for his money as being the Worst Keeper ive seen, is Zelijko Kalac.
  22. Genuinely going to be hard pressed to think of a crapper player than Danny Ward to be honest.
  23. He mentioned the sales of last season, but said that sill nobody knows if we will meet with PSR, but that selling KDH, plus the sales of last season, the club will be seen as at least making an effort to do so.
  24. Radio Leicester tonight. He didn't say we wouldn't meet it, he said no one knows, but it could be that it at least shows that we've been making an effort to meet it.
  25. Will it meet PSR though, or is it just to show that we've been making an effort to meet it, as Rob Tanner has suggested it might have been, and we still won't meet PSR anyway.
