  1. Well he was pretty decent as recent as last season. He isn't being picked because the manager wants to play Kristiansen on the left, and have him bombing on, and he thinks that Justin is more suited than Ricardo to coming inside to make the extra body in the middle when the defence has had to shift over to cover Kristiansen. That's how Cooper wants to play. It's a choice, but not one I agree with. How he can leave out probably our best technically gifted player is beyond me, but ultimately he will live and die by his choices, as do all managers.
  2. What is his form, we've hardly seen him to judge. Looked a bit rusty but ok against Tranmere, it was his run into the box that got us the penalty.
  3. The Championship games have never been well attended as i can remember, but certainly back in the 70s, the sunday league games were packed, there would literally be people sat by the rope at the boundarys edge.
  4. Very true, and interestingly his mantra was very much that we had to stay in games, which is much the same as Cooper. It was only when it was shite or bust time in those last 9 games, that he changed the system and let them off the leash, and went for it, which resulted in us winning 7 of the last 9.
  5. Wow! Have we ever started a game with a more negative team.
  6. Rob Tanner on Radio Leicester last night said Bilal El Khannouss would be it, that we will be going with what we have. So if he is right and assuming Cannon moves, we will actually be a striker down from last season and it will be Vardy and Ayew as our striker options.
  7. Maupay is a no from me as well. The point is, along with a KDH replacement, a striker was a priority position, that we needed to spend a fair proportion of our budget on. Instead we have spewed more money on players or positions that were not as important, which is why will probably end up with sodding Maupay or Sargent!
  8. Sargent wouldn't even get us promoted next season if we go down. Midtable championship striker at best. His one prem season he scored 2 goals and 1 assist in 26 games. He's been at Norwich 4 seasons, and had one half decent season, so it's a no from me, but he's just the sort of non striker the club will probably settle on.
  9. Maybe only 2 games and a pre season, but the clock should already be ticking, and hopefully his time at the club is going to be short. He has already shown zero signs that he is able to set us up in a cohesive and competitive way He has shown zero evidence that he even wants or is willing to pick his better players in front of players that will run about a bit! He has shown zero interest in giving any of the youngsters a go, even in pre season friendlies, despite the fairytale of him being "good for the younger players", and helping to develop them. Finally and what should eventually see his demise at the club, so long as the brain farts that run the club can see it early enough (I won't be holding my breath!) he has no coherent plan that will get us even close to 20 points this season.
  10. Just a heads up to anyone who don't know, the u21s on sky sports plus against Burton in the efl Cup, tonight, on the red button.
  11. He's a big smelly pile of poo! In my opinion of course!
  12. My opinion, but while there were numerous reasons for our relegation two seasons ago, I honestly believe that had Ward not been in goal for 28 games we would have stayed up. I don't remember him winning us any points, but I do remember him costing us plenty, with performances that had me scratching my head as how he had ever made it as keeper in the professional game. So the reaction may feel OTT, but after finally feeling that we could leave the nightmare that had been Danny Ward firmly in the past, the concern that we are now seeing him again in our goal, all be it, only in friendlies, is a real one. For me now, we now need to be bringing another keeper, either as number 2 to Mads if he stays, or as a number one, if he goes, in which case we will need to bring two keepers in. I'm not convinced by Iversen, and we just simply can not go into the season with Danny Ward as our number one.
  13. I think Ward is even worse than him! Seen a few awful keepers down here, an overweight Martin Hodge, Mark Grew, Rab Douglas and others, but the only one i think gives Ward a run for his money as being the Worst Keeper ive seen, is Zelijko Kalac.
  14. Genuinely going to be hard pressed to think of a crapper player than Danny Ward to be honest.
  15. He mentioned the sales of last season, but said that sill nobody knows if we will meet with PSR, but that selling KDH, plus the sales of last season, the club will be seen as at least making an effort to do so.
  16. Radio Leicester tonight. He didn't say we wouldn't meet it, he said no one knows, but it could be that it at least shows that we've been making an effort to meet it.
  17. Will it meet PSR though, or is it just to show that we've been making an effort to meet it, as Rob Tanner has suggested it might have been, and we still won't meet PSR anyway.
  18. If we hadnt already seen Casadei, I think he is very likely someone that the club would be interested in, but as we have seen him, surely there isn't anyone stupid enough at the club that would want to revisit that one!
  19. Depends if we can manage to find a gem of a player to replace him, within our budget, which is likely to be small There will be players out there, but it's whether we can identify them. I like KDH, and I would rather we kept him if we were able too, he's an important player for us , but hes not irreplaceable. Chelsea will be a good move for him, especially as he has Enzo there, who he knows rates him, and is likely to give him a fair go, although he will also have to impress the Chelsea fans too very quickly, which may be a tad more difficult.
  20. No.
  21. Great player, probably not talked about as much as he should be really. I loved the Jock Wallace team, not the panache of the Bloomfield team, but still an exciting team to watch.

    Iversen

There's no way Anstey Nomads will want Ward.
  23. Time will tell, but I hope you're right too
  24. He's a polished performer in front of the camera it's a good thing to be, and being a younger modern manager, its most most likely something he's worked on. Gaining favour with what for him is a new set of fans, and also the press can be a help, especially when starting a new job. Also possibly further down the line, when things aren't going so well, he will hope that being seen as a good bloke, and saying the right things to endear himself might give him a little more time to turn things round if need be. Ultimately though he will be judged on results, and through all the sound bites and blarney that these managers come out with, that is what really matters.
  25. Of course he says all the right things. All managers start off saying pretty much the same stuff as he has, when they join a club, I wouldn't expect anything else.
