Unlikely I reckon. The club might want him gone, but: 1) who’d have him? ie who needs him and can afford him. 2) does he want to go? I mean maybe he’d like to get some games in to get himself in the shop window before his contract is up… but that brings us back to point 1 - who wants/needs him as their #1 (why go on loan if you’re just going to warm someone else’s bench). I don’t see Ward leaving before the summer.

A highlight from the 01/02 season: Walker, Marshall, Davidson, Heath, Sinclair, Impey, Savage, Wise, Rogers, Akinbiyi, Scowcroft. Subs: Royce, Deane, Izzet, Jones, Benjamin. Lost 4-0 at home against Southampton. As bad as any starting XI is these days, none will ever compare to anything that has Dennis twatting Wise in it.

Quietly confident now that ETH has been sacked, we’re heading for an absolute pasting.
