  1. England's loveliest small Norman church just up the road in Hales
  2. I feel like we no longer get many quaint, thoughtful films about not much. Like the Station Agent or Up in the Air. A dying genre.

  4. Was having an early dinner about 7 ish, felt like the sun had set quicker than usual, wandered into the living room after eating and it just looked the same as usual

  6. I was going to plus one you there then realised you were talking about Labour
  7. Is that 38% of home students? To be honest I find the term ethnic minority very confusing in this country anyway as it includes Brits but doesn't seem to include e.g. a Polish or German person despite the fact they are obviously a minority. And you're right that institutions now seem to try to hire or include non white UK citizens at a higher rate than in the overall population. If Cambridge's home student body was 18% BME they'd probably face criticism. All very weird.
  8. After Bosnia he'll find it hard to adapt to the post industrial decline and inter-ethnic conflicts of Leicester, poor guy.
  9. My apologies, the slogan was actually "Aah" not "Ahh"

  11. Ricky Gervais is so painfully unfunny and stupid and the fact he was so big in the early 2010s says a lot about the culture of that particular period.
  12. Away at a Premier League club. Living the dream, great time to be a Leicester fan.
  13. Ademola Lookman. He probably feels incredibly fortunate.

  15. She may not be the nicest person but I haven't personally seen a very strong argument against her exoneration. Some of the press she gets is very silly, she's hardly OJ Simpson

  17. Interesting how people can come to such different conclusions. I've read up on the case and am absolutely certain she was definitely not involved in Kercher's death.
  18. Great result for CSKA Sofia tonight in a Eurovision rerun Interestingly there are 2 CSKA Sofias competing in European football this year. I would think that's the first time something like that's happened.
  19. You can say that again

    Depression

I've had similar feelings to yours described in the second paragraph. I think a lot of us do. I do think we have been primed over the last couple of decades by film, TV, news and especially social media to think something bad is constantly going to happen. We're in a constantly anxious state now. God knows what the constant exposure is doing to our brains.
  21. Huth is the answer to most "best _____ signings" questions.
  22. Ah that's a shame. Might be a flixbus or something leaving late and stopping off at Verona.
  23. Trento on 21st would be good because it's a beautiful city and Pro Vercelli are one of the more iconic names of the Italian lower leagues. What's tricky about the transport, usually there are loads of trains and buses from Verona to Trento?
  24. Brit immigration sceptics really blew their load prematurely with the Polish plumbers stuff. Shame really because it's obviously got pretty bad last few years.
