The Criterion and The Salmon are probably my two favourite Leicester pubs. Could do with a few more like that.

I was in there on Saturday for the first time too. Really nice place. Great beer selection. I notice they have an upstairs bit too but I didn't go up.

Doesn't the money from testimonials go to charity now? I think King definitely deserves one. He's won three league titles with us and has been with us through thick and thin.

Warrabowt Hamza?

Looks as though he played for both Ireland U21 and England U21 actually. Started off with Ireland and then had a change of heart.

Think Grealish played for Ireland U21s.

Palace at the weekend ? Are we having a topic
Scanchez replied to dynamark's topic in Leicester City Forum
Might put some cash on that.. -
We were in the relegation zone when he took over. Now we're 8th and still with a chance of European football. I'm not sure how people could view this as unsatisfactory. Let him have a full season for God's sake.

Very similar to me - born in Leicester, lived in Liverpool, London and now in Leeds. Don't really fancy Luton.. -
Proper bobbins, that.

Match Ratings : Peterborough United 1-5 Leicester City - Vote Now

I see what you're saying but I don't feel like the reason Silva got tackled so often was because he was taking risks more that he was quite slow in possession. Dawdling on the ball a bit. This is obviously due to his lack of game time so I'm not trying to make out he's rubbish or anything. I'm glad he's been playing in these cup matches as he obviously needs to get some games under his belt to get him up to speed. I have no doubt he will be a great player for us but just find it strange that a lot of people seem to think he had a great game. Maybe I'm being to critical. -

I find it bizarre that people seem to think Silva had a decent game. I don't doubt that he's a quality player and is rusty due to his lack of games but I thought he had a poor match. He was caught in possession over and over again. On a few occasions it directly led to Peterborough having a chance. He did get the assist for the first but other than that I thought he was poor. I imagine if somebody like King had a similar match he would have been slated and come out with an overall rating of 4. Silva will come out with 7+ no probs. I think some of us have a set idea of what a player is like and find it hard to see past that. Once again, I don't doubt that Silva is a great player but that doesn't mean he automatically has great games. -
Ah yeah, I do like the Criterion. Not been for ages though. Haha! I used to go to the Queen of Bradgate when I was a young'un. Has it changed a lot? It was pretty ropey back in the day.

Indeed I do. Nice one. Will check that out.

Afternoon, I don't usually post on this forum so sorry if there is a similar thread elsewhere. I am originally from Leicester but have lived away for around 16 years or so. I come back quite often but always struggle to find a nice pub to go to. Anyone got any tips? Sort of looking for 'old man' type pubs which serve craft beers / real ale and have a nice atmosphere. I really like The Salmon but don't know of many other places like that around town and I don't have a great knowledge of pubs around Leicestershire. I'm sure there's some good ones. Went to the Bakers Arms in Blaby last time I was down - thought that was really good too.
