China now claim the virus was brought to Wuhan province by Americans last autumn. https://qz.com/1817736/china-fuels-coronavirus-conspiracy-theory-blaming-us-army/

The question remains: Where did this virus come from, how did it develop, how did it come about? I wonder whether it truly is a whim of nature or whether a developed nation has something to do with it...

Meanwhile, Germany blocked imports meant for Switzerland for several days.

Remembering When Leicester Got Back On Track In 2008/09
MC Prussian replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Hereford away for me. So old-school, 70ies flair everywhere. Terraces looked as if they were about to crumble any time. -
Given the fact that there are more women working in the health sector, hardly a surprise. D'oh.
-
Given the type of people affected by the virus the most, it's fair to say the vast majority of us will be fine. Trying to be positive in a time of some uncertainty. Not that I think that people dying are ok, no judgement from me there.

"All with underlying health conditions and over the age of 60". The trend continues.

Yes, EA are going to have to pay sooner than later!

Imagine a couple of lads just having fun playing a football game...

It's the first really big health scare in close to 100 years. We've not seen a similar epidemic since the Spanish Influenza, so about four generations have no tangible comparison to what a global virus can do. I'm not even sure if it's fear or just ignorance coupled with lack of knowledge. The herd mentality was on full display today. I went shopping at around noon over here, and many shelves have been "plundered" already. I wish these people would stop freaking out and think of it as the end of the world as we know it. There's also plenty of fake news circulating on Social Media and Whatsapp. Mind-boggling to what lengths some people go to upset a whole society. Idiots.

They're re-opening the Weekend League one more time next weekend.

I know it sounds somewhat cynical, but when 70 or more percent of flu deaths in the UK affect the 65-year old and above with already existing medical conditions, then it puts everything in some perspective. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0163445313003733 Nobody deserves to die from influenza, it just hits the weakest ones the hardest. But that its hardly anything new. And with an increase in population, flu deaths are on the decline: https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/bulletins/excesswintermortalityinenglandandwales/2016to2017provisionaland2015to2016final At least something to cheer about.

All schools closed in Switzerland until 4th of April (higher education included), exams are allowed, but under strict supervision. Maximum of 50 people in bars, restaurants or clubs. All events with more than 100 people are banned. The Federal Council has guaranteed financial aid for the economy, up to 10 billion Swiss Francs (£8.5b) for now as it stands.

We're splitting up into two teams here at work starting next week, one team will do home office until further notice so that interactions are reduced to a minimum and that production is guaranteed. We've installed a remote software on our private computers so that one can access one's office desktop from home also.

It wasn't a weekend game, that's why. Vardy wouldn't have made it, either.

These young, naive, street-hustling ambassadors for non-profit organizations. Outta my way.

Well, whose idea was it to hire ex-Liverpool players to comment on Liverpool matches? That guy deserves to get sacked.

Not sure if that's a definition of his general character, sounds a bit harsh. I for one would like to think that it is recent, new frustration born out of the fact that he's never had it any better than at Leicester. Failed at Chelsea, failed at Burnley, now failing at Villa. Shame, really. Maybe a motivational mentor could work best for him, I doubt he's having financial troubles. Must've earned a small fortune in the past few years. Still has a few more years in him, hope he puts them to good use.

The younger generation's Steve Guppy. More important than you think, and not just because of his experience.

Fantasy Premier League 2019/2020

No, thank you. KDB to play and have at least a goal or an assist. I have Grealish as my first bench player (2 points this gameweek). He shall stay put. -
Aston Villa (H) 4-0 // Post Match Thread
MC Prussian replied to BigWesMorgan's topic in Leicester City Forum
That felt good. League double over Villa, after two forgettable League Cup matches against the same opposition. Although up to us taking the lead, it felt as if it was history repeating again and a continuation of the poor form in the league as of late. Thanks to Pepe Reina, Albrighton and Barnes for actually holding out just to squeeze the ball into the net, past the defenders. Happy for Vardy to have found his scoring boots again. More of this in the weeks to come, please. 100 goals club is awaiting you, Jamie. Can't think of any player having a particularly bad game tonight, maybe Maddison or most of our central midfield went a bit stale in the first half, hardly found a way past the Villa players. Slightly improved in the second half. Don't write off Albrighton, he's going to be valuable in the European competition (be it Europa or Champions League). Back on track for third in the Premier League? I do hope so (and let's annoy Manchester City a little bit, while we still can). -
Who said Albrighton's past it? Guy's so essential. That pass and Barnes just took it with a wham.
-
Who's going to score the hattrick first? Vardy or Barnes?

The look on Mendy's face. Like a kid in a candy store.
