  1. As if EA needed any more reason to be one of the most despised companies in the world.
  2. With each new year, EA make more money and provide shittier servers. You couldn't make it up.
  3. Weekend League rewards are out. I didn't know about them putting TOTS cards back into the selection. TOTS Savanier and... TOTS Ferland Mendy. Get in. My Ligue 1 team is now pretty stacked. Mendy the LB I always wanted.
  4. Fondling with it on 19, as well. Probably something to do with Weekend League rewards? Also have cards hanging in trade nirvana on my trade pile.
  5. So good. https://louis-jeancormier.bandcamp.com "Face au vent" my top pick.
  6. The Americans isn't as bad as the ratings suggest, I think it drags on a bit at times, but you always wonder whether they'll ever be found out in the series. Philip Jennings is to the spy world what Don Draper is to advertising.
  7. Playing board games with Steve Bruce? Well, I could teach him a bit about tactics and writing mystery novels!
  8. As do most professional footballers. Recently watched Ian Wright's video where he visits Dennis Bergkamp. Oooh.
  9. R.I.P. Gabi:
  10. DAF's Gabi Delgado dead at age 61.
  11. I think every team in every division is more or less affected the same. With bigger clubs come bigger wages and other, higher costs. I suppose there is some kind of disproportionality, but let's not pretend the big clubs don't suffer, as well. There are several options in order to either keep costs down or find a mutual agreement in order for players and/or staff to forego their respective wages, for example. Also, a superfund may be a good idea. But the FA in this case would have to act quickly.
  12. One of the most popular Japanese exports at the time, besides cars, video games and Towa Tei:
  13. Quintessential early 80ies:
  14. Best ever Weekend League for me right now. 14 and 5. Now just playing the remaining games for fun and see how far I can get. Gold 2 would be fantastic.
  15. Smooth as silk. Nineties grandiose.
  16. Addicted! Come over to FUT 19 one last time this weekend, willya.
  17. Have you been in touch with your general practitioner or your local hospital? A quick ring should do.
  18. So, I wonder... ... People are supposed to stay at home ... Many business will have to cease operations for several weeks - unless their services are essential Economies will shrink (massively), businesses will fear administration or at least will struggle paying rent and wages - March, April (even May or June) will probably go down as complete losses. No ROI, no profits for many businesses. Citizens will have to think about paying their rent in case wages can no longer be guaranteed, even the introduction of part-time work can potentially cripple many. Governments will be forced to invest heavily, by flooding the market with cheap money in order to guarantee a certain standard of living for all.
  19. Switzerland prohibits all public and private happenings starting this midnight. All non-essential shops, as well as restaurants, museums, libraries, cinemas, theatres, sports centres, swimming pools to be closed until the 19th of April. Supermarkets, petrol stations, take-aways, rail stations, bank branches, hotels, communal services and offices and post offices stay open. Many local authorities are only available by phone by now, apart from a few basic services (such as funerals). Hospitals to stay open also, but they have to prioritize their services, non-essential surgeries and therapies to be postponed. It's a lockdown. Borders more or less closed, unless it's for trade, if you're a Swiss coming back or a commuter from a neighboring country. Unprecedented, wonder how disciplined we'll all be. Schools are closed starting this week, pupils are either staying at home or to be taken care of at school under supervision (in cases where parents can't take over).
  20. I see an increase in trade items available now. Up from 80000+ to now close to 100000 again. Looks as if there'll be quite a few players returning to FIFA 19 for maybe one final and utterly frustrating Weekend League.
  21. Yeah, imagine Liverpool not winning the title because of another "slip up". In all seriousness, they deserve the trophy based on their results on the whole. And we deserve finishing in the Top Four.
  22. As long as we don't have a vaccine that works, the vulnerable will continue to die. But in essence, that's nothing different compared to seasonal flu. The vast majority of deaths due to coronavirus affect people over 60 with already existing medical conditions, so the ones with a weak(er) immune system to start with. What we can do is slow down the virus' spread by reducing direct contact with one another, impose self-isolation wherever possible, by staying calm and by eating and drinking as healthily as possible.
  23. It's fair to say coronavirus is a much bigger threat to the world than Trump. Maybe you want to elaborate on the "massive danger to the world" part, because I don't see it. We've had three years of Trump already and we're all still here, doing pretty fine.
  24. I see your point, I'm just wondering why such a fast outbreak now, given the fact that China (and other countries in the area) have been selling such (dirty) livestock for decades, if not centuries (for medicinal purposes among others), without anything similar occurring on such a global scale. Well, yeah. Nature IS. And we're part of it. I guess it's with our style of living that we've become a bit too distant from nature, seeing ourselves as somewhat excluded. That ignorance certainly plays into the hysteria we're seeing right now, too many people have been living a comfy life for too long, thinking nothing could touch them. We haven't had to deal with a global health issue or crisis for about a century now, and the last World War is beginning to sound like an abstract or a fairytale to the younger generations. As cynical as it may sound, maybe a virus is what we need in order to start anew and approach life with a bit more respect or experience it more consciously. We've grown so fast in such a short period of time, perhaps we all need a bit of a break. Doesn't change the fact that I'm curious to find out what the main cause is/was for the coronavirus, mind.
  25. My guess is most governments will be forced to support business and all sorts of daily life activities with tons of money, which in turn results in an accumulation of debt (on paper). Then again, governments could counter that danger with debt cuts on the whole.
