  1. The documentary is something special. Go and watch it if you can. It's fantastic. Just based on the first episode alone you can sense what player Jordan was from the start and how he helped turn the franchise and the league around. The Golden Years of basketball, and I was lucky to have lived in that era, follow the sport turn into a phenomenon, up until Jordan's second retirement. Things started to change quickly after that, and for the worse.
  2. Anyone ever had one of them replays saved on console from the AI opposition scoring a goal against you? Happened to me this morning. Weird.
  3. Darn, these Japanese could do groovy music back in the days: (Tatsuhiro Yamashita's first band - look up Taeko Ohnuki, as well)
  4. ESPN airing a ten-part documentary on the 97/98 Chicago Bulls season, Michael Jordan's last with the club: https://nba.nbcsports.com/2020/04/17/michael-jordan-documentary-how-to-watch/ First two parts to be screened tonight.
  5. Pondering about finally giving Resident Evil 7 a full go. I saw the first few reviews, then attempted at playing it myself shortly after. Didn't get very far though. It's tricky with the timing - the atmosphere and music is oh so scary and adds to the overall experience, very distracting.
  6. Brian Dennehy, 81. Go and revisit "First Blood".
  7. I dread singers of today that have no style of their own, but are shaped by producers and advisors and ultimately simply act as a company mouthpiece. PJ Harvey, for instance, made her way up by playing in the Bristol scene for years, evolving on the way. In general, if you can't write your own material as a musician, you have less soul. And I do much more respect musicians that can play an instrument.
  8. Ended up with PJ Harvey again, it's been a while: More talent, style and swag than all of today's generic female "singers" combined.
  9. Not the biggest fan of the older Marshall Mathers, he's become a bit tedious. Dig this song though:
  10. I've heard people say it's the worst they've ever played. I've certainly rarely truly enjoyed playing this stinker. It was an enraging experience mostly, but that mainly online. The good thing is that Weekend League is gone, that one was the worst mode of them all. I hate that grind and how the nerves can get the worst of you. Although the last ever WL they opened, I managed to grab TOTS Ferland Mendy and Tavanier to boost my Ligue 1 squad, so no complaints there. I don't take the game this seriously any longer, not worth it. I'm close to having completed all League SBCs for the third (or fourth) time. And grinding out coins and packs for the Icon SBCs. The least I can do is complete the game as much as possible. If I'm ever going back to a new FIFA (maybe 21), then the gameplay and rewards for not paying with real money for packs needs to improve a lot. At least from what I gather, that's what EA have done with FIFA 20 now. FIFA needs to be fun again. I remember beating good players with Silver Squads back in FIFA 13, that was something. Can't do that no more with all those special cards available.
  11. Not the latest installation. I play the **** out of FIFA 19. The server issues affect the whole EA game range.
  12. Selma Blair - still looking drop-dead gorgeous closing in on 50.
  13. Aaand it's offline again. Class act, EA. DDOS attack against them confirmed? https://www.reddit.com/r/FIFA/comments/g1hgim/ea_help_today_we_experienced_a_series_of_ddos/
  14. Meanwhile, Zweback can log in all normal, and complete the Fuchs SBC. WTF? EDIT: 12 hours and counting... Top job, EA. As usual. "Stay and play"
  15. Eight hours and counting.
  16. Servers still down for me. EA have finally taken notice - seven hours later.
  17. Servers been down for about four hours now?
  18. Les Claypool Just... astonishing. Mesmerizing even.
  19. Last few boss fights are frustrating at times, but so rewarding once you get past them. If you think the game is hard on standard, try the second playthrough - on the same difficulty level. Absolutely superb game, I applaud the developers for putting in so much effort, eye for detail and staying true to the original and expanding it where it fits best. Suspense, gore, has it all. Brilliant adventure with plenty of replay value.
  20. Resident Evil 2 Remake, after picking it up at discount price in the XBOX online store. Very, very good. Top-notch atmosphere. Being chased around by the Tyrant in the police station isn't particularly easy on the nerves.
  21. Used to have this on DVD, one of those earlier ones with that more solid transparent case. Haven't seen or heard of this title for about two decades. Underrated in terms of message the movie carries. Maybe one day there'll be a fitting remake.
  22. Just because it's not seen as global commons, doesn't mean it cannot be explored in an international union. As stated in the declaration. The US can have their opinion, and other nations a different one. Nothing to get ones knickers in a twist. By the time space exploration on this level is practical and feasible enough, Trump will be long gone. And Europe, Russia or China will have to make great strides to get anywhere near the technological level the US are at right now. If you want to blame the US president responsible, look back at the treaty of 1979. That was Jimmy Carter territory. You get triggered way too easily by Orange Man.
  23. Götze has changed his management and seeks a move abroad this summer. Still only 27 (28 in June).
