No? Less than 30 obviously, not minus 30
-
They're on big wages because Rudkin is a bad negotiator and Top doesn't scrutinise our finances well enough.
-
If we do down with sub 30 points - which I think there is a decent chance of unfortunately then that becomes less likely. Even if the book value sale is fine, we won't to sell him for a 'proper loss' (what a ridiculous concept). So then will a side be paying c £7m+ for then 29 year old Winks with his injury history? I'm not so sure. I just hate that we're in this position

It's funny we'll be having the same attritional arguments in June, the few defenders will still resolutely trot out the same lines in the face of another failure.

He was mediocre which is why he started 65 league games in six years
-
They went up as champions (which he obviously had a hand in, not knocking him) which helps but the Winks, Ndidi, Skip midfield is too unadventurous even for the Championship. They're all going to be on big money and I can't seen anybody coming in with a bid we'll entertain. We're boxing ourselves in a bit with our squad building.

Some are so desperate for signings they're rationalising it as a good one. He's obviously not a bad player but £20m (whether it's with add ons or not, presumable we pay them if we achieve what we need) but for that money we should be buying players that obviously improve us in areas we're weak. What does a good season look like for Skip? 2 goals, an assist and 2.6 tackles a game? Did anybody ever have him on their "Who should we sign wishlist?" Is he going to tear the Championship apart with Winks, Ndidi (new deal so not going anywhere)?

Skipp, 2 goals and 3 assists in 153 career appearances Soumare, 1 goal and 6 assists in 205 apps. Winks, 7 goals and 6 assists in 267. Choudhury, 2 goals and 3 assists in 190. Ndidi, 22 goals and 18 assists in 340. Boiled chicken midfield

Hypothetical New Ownership- Who Would You Like?

They were to pay for working capital mostly, mostly because of the massive wage budget that snowballed, you could call a huge wage bill investment but it wasn't very deliberate as we regularly had 30+ senior players contracted. We've basically had one season of significant net spend in 21/22 at roughly £60m. Maybe it's semantics but investment to me is a clear, demarcated cash to spend on a specific end rather than just being engulfed in a massive wage bill. -
Green shoots but he's not made the leap yet, CC and T20 performances haven't been there yet

Kimber occasionally takes these big wickets for a part time bowler. He's came on leaps and bounds this year just as Patel did last (?) season. Hopefully Budinger next season.

How is it an oxymoron, the statements aren't directly contradictory? We've converted a few loans into equity, it's not a direct injection of cash for transfers. We've been reckless through mismanagement of contracts and wages rather than Top splashin the cash. Besides we're reckless obviously implicates the whole board and management rather than just Top. -
There's plenty of good players in the 2nd tiers of Spain, France, Germany etc. The landscape of football means it's basically not possible to sign a Mahrez but there are plenty of Benrahma types. Then there's lots of talent players playing in the C tier nations like in the Czech Republic, Croatia, Belgium, Scandinavia, etc that'd jump at the chance to play for us - even in the Championship. Never mind South America or East Asia.

He's reckless in football but he's co-founded business and his net worth is $7bn, Top is worth less than half and he's inherited that. Top doesn't get his wallet out and we're still reckless. -

You don't have to be rich, you just have to have your head screwed on. The Coates family at Stoke are far richer than Bloom and Benham are but the latter are more intelligent. Top isn't that rich by PL standards and I'd wager he's the least intelligent. -
The forgotten story of … Leicester City: Ice Kings

I often wonder how the course of our history would have changed if we'd won the double. We'd be a totally different club I think. -
It's almost good, naff sponsor and the embossing is too fine. If it was bolder it'd look better - it's almost as if it's "fine, if it's what the fans want, do a nice little nod to our history on the shirts but - make it like 4% opaque". On the email they sent out you can't see the retro badge detailing at all, terrible choice of photo too. In theory the kits should be easy wins every year, get the fans on side with nice designs, release them on time and hey presto you do well commercially out of it.

If we lose 20+ games and we go down with a whimper people won’t be happy . There’s only so much you can excuse. There was a bit of discontent last season at the style of play, those same people won’t because we’re going direct but losing 2-0 every week. -
I walked in with a banner badly hidden a few years ago, some divvy steward asked what it was, “an art project” ”oh ok” and waved through
